We do not have any available software for the SCH-U640 that will allow you to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer.
Here are the available options that you can use in transferring pictures from the phone to the computer.
- Via Mass Storage
- Via Bluetooth
- Via E-Mail Picture
- Via Verizon Online Album

1. Via Mass Storage
The handset's mass storage feature allows the transfer of Pictures and Video files directly from a PC to the microSD memory card, inserted in the phone. In order to use this option, the microSD memory card must be formatted by the phone to create the necessary folders.
Please Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.
WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER
To transfer files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:
Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu
Select Settings & Tools (9)
Select Tools (2)
Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
Select USB Mass Storage (8)
When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the PC... and Call Disabled on the display
If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually
Navigate to the location of the files on the PC
Drag n Drop or copy & paste the file(s) into into the phone's My_Pix or My-Flix folder.

2. Via E-Mail Picture
To send a picture to an e-mail address follow the steps below:
While in standby mode, press OK for Menu
Select Media Center (5)
Select Pictures & Video (2)
Select My Pictures (3)
Highlight the desired photo to be sent, using the navigation keys
Press the right soft key for Options
Select Send (1)
Select Picture Msg (1)
Manually enter the email address(es), using the keypad
Press OK when all recipients have been entered
Highlight Text:, using the navigation keys
Enter the Message Text, using the keypad (up to 1,000 characters)
Highlight Sound, using the navigation keys
Press the left soft key for Sounds
Select either Record New (1) or highlight desired sound, using the navigation keys
Press OK to add the Sound
Highlight Subject, using the navigation keys
Enter the Subject Text, using the keypad (up to 80 characters)
Highlight Name Card:, using the navigation keys
Press the left soft key for Add
Select either of the following name card options:
My Name Card (1), to add the previously saved name card
Contacts (2), to add a contact as the name card
Press OK to add the selected name card to the picture message
Press OK to Send the Picture Message to the recipient(s)
Tip: You can send a Picture Message to up to ten recipients
Please Note: The handset includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to view or play some purchased or subscription content. Copyright protections may prevent some images, music (including ringtones) and other content from being copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.

3. Via Bluetooth
To send a picture to bluetooth device follow the steps below:
While in standby mode, press OK for Menu
Select Media Center (5)
Select Pictures & Video (2)
Select My Pictures (3)
Highlight the desired photo to be sent, using the navigation keys
Press the right soft key for Options
Select Send (1)
Select Via Bluetooth (3)
Select a registered Bluetooth device
Press OK
Select Yes to connect to the registered Bluetooth device

4. Via Verizon Online Album
In Addition, pictures can be sent from the handset directly to your Verizon Online Album. Please contact your service provider concerning all Verizon Online Album issues.
