Questions & Answers for samsung Samsung Convoy™ Cell Phone

Question

How can I disable Side Key (PTT) so that it does not hang up on calls.

During a regular phone call (not PTT) if the Side Key (PTT) is accidentally pressed the call is ended. I have set the PTT feature (which I do not use) to disabled. Is there a Shortcut that I can set the Side Key to that will not end the phone call?
Thanks

Thank you for your inquiry.
With the SCH-u460 or the Intensity II phone, it does not have the option to do call forwarding or a call divert. However, you can call your Service Provider to check if there’s a way on their end to have it activated. And there would be a charge or subscription fee to use that service.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Let me check if i understand your concern correctly, you are trying to remove the call wait option on the phone number that you are calling. Is it right? Because if this the one that you are referring to, the answer is you cannot release or remove the call wait option on the number that you are calling. But the number that you are calling has the capability to release you, if in case he has someone on the other line.

And another thing is Call waiting service must be enabled on your account with your service provider to take advantage of this functionality on your phone. You need to consult with your provider for information regarding any additional fees that may be incurred.

And with your other concern, you also cannot display the calendar when you are in the process of a phone call. There is no configurable option on the device to have it change.

I hope i was able to get your concern right.

Should you have other questions & concerns, feel free to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Samsung does not offer a Data Kit software package, for the purpose of transferring data between the handset and a personal computer or for using a Verizon Handset handset as a modem for a personal computer. However, depending on the model, there may be a media card slot located on the side of handset or in the battery compartment that allows information to be transferred to a personal computer with the use of a media card reader.
you might be able to use VZAccess Manager. Due to this you will need to contact Verizon Wireless for support. This method of connectivity is unsupported by Samsung.

The SCH-U640 (Convoy) handset has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) or the phone memory with a Samsung USB data cable, using the mass storage or Sync Music feature. It doesn't require to have any drivers or softwares like PC Studio for you to connect it to your laptop.

Note: When connected to a computer, the handset is unable to make or receive calls

To connect to a PC follow the steps below:

1.Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
2.Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
3.Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
4.While in stand by mode press the OK button
5.Choose Settings & Tools
6.Choose Tools
7.Choose USB Mass Storage
8.Press OK to Disconnect when finished
