Question

I have been given a new work phone and cannot figure out an icon

I looked in the book and downloaded the online guide as well as went through the icon glossary on the phone. It looks like a phone icon, such as for a missed call - it is located in the bottom, center, however there is an arrow on the left side of the icon pointing to the phone-looking icon. What does this mean?

Question

I just bought a new Convoy and use the calender to schedule all my meeting reminders on. Problem is when an alert goes off I can not turn it off.

I have tried every combination of buttons I can think of and it just keeps going off. Sometimes a few minutes after I shut it off and sometimes only a few seconds. I end up having to delete the appointment. These are set to repeat every week which means after I delete it I have to go back in and reenter it.

Hi there,

Thank you for the inquiry of your Samsung Convoy (SCH-U640). MP3 and ringtones are limited to those downloaded from the Verizon Media Store. Although the handset offers the ability to playback MP3 files, synchronized to the memory card or phone, there are no configurable options available to assign those MP3 files and personlized ringtone as ringtones.

For further assistance with downloaded MP3 and ringtone files contact your service provider which is Verizon Wireless, you may call up their Customer Care Support Toll Free number at 1-800-922-0204.

Note: The Music Player does not necessarily support all features of a particular file format nor all the variations of those formats. The Music Player includes support for Digital rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play some purchased or subscription content. Copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.

Hi there.

The SCH-U640 (Convoy) handset has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) or the phone memory with a Samsung USB data cable, using the mass storage or Sync Music feature.

Please take note that the plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

Note: The handset is unable to make or receive calls when connected to a computer.

Just a warning, do not disconnect the USB cable from the PC or handset during file transfer as this may cause damage to the handset or PC.

To connect the phone to a PC, follow the steps below:

Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
While in stand by mode press the OK button
Choose Settings & Tools (9)
Choose Tools (2)
Choose USB Mass Storage (8)
Press OK to Disconnect when finished

Thank you and have a great day.
