Hi goldzone1,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please try doing a soft reset by turning off the phone, then remove the battery and put it back in and power on the phone again.

After this, try to establish the Bluetooth connection between the phone and the car kit.

You may also call the car manufacturer and check if the phone is listed among the compatible devices that would pair to the car kit.

Should you need further assistance, please call our Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Question

What is expected battery life with a sch-u640 phone?

I just purchased 2 sch-u640 Convoy phones from Verizon. I know your specifications call for up to 500+ hrs. standby and up to 5 hrs. talk time. But I am only getting about 30 hrs. total, with maybe 1/2-1 hr talk time. This is dramatically less than I have experienced with other Samsung phones I have owned and is totally unacceptable. And Verizon says this is typical.

Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC

From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools

Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)

Question

How do I get the external keys to lock again?

I had a small accident and spilled water on the phone. Everything works fine, except that the front screen stays on permenantly and the external keys will not lock. When I try to manually lock them, the "External Keys Locked" screen flashes on and off. I really love my phone and would hate to lose it, but the battery is getting drained quickly from the light and all of the accidental button pushes like turning on my music.
