If you are trying to enter (add) new words you need to type the word in mode "Abc" then put a sapce after the word, then you shift to T9 mode. I was having the same problem and found this solution burried in the T9 web site. This is different from my prior phone because I didn't have to enter the space.

Thank you for your inquiry. As I have checked here with my resources, You can add the AT word on your phone’s T9 Dictionary.
Once a word has been added, there are no options for deletion.

To add a word to the T9 predictive text dictionary follow the steps below:

1.While composing a text, picture or voice message in T9 Word press the left soft key to switch input modes
2.Select either alphabet mode, Abc (3) or ABC(4)
3.Press the keypad letter once, twice, three, or four times to enter the letters of the word
4.The next time a message is created in T9 mode, using the same numeric key sequence, the new word will be an optional word for the T9 keys entered

For more information on the T9 dictionary and its features, plus tutorials, please check the T9 website at http://www.t9.com

Hi, I'm not sure if you've gotten your answer, but I had the same question a while back and figured it out. The icon you're referring to means you have a missed call. If you go to the Recent Calls part of the menu and click on "Missed calls," it should disappear from your phone's front menu (you may also need to click on the missed call itself - I can't remember).

We do not have that icon shown on the screenshot you have attached on the icon list of Samsung Convoy, however the closest one we have on the list is a telephone with 2 arrows at the right side of it (upper arrow pointing against the phone and lower arrow pointing towards the phone) and it indicates a data call in progress. You can also check out the icon glossary by going to the phone's settings : Menu > Settings & Tools > Memory > Phone Info > Icon Glossary

Hi, Grummie!

The SCH-u640 (Convoy) handset has three ways of transferring photos from phone to computer. And those are via Mass Storage, via Bluetooth and via E-Mail Picture. Each method will be discussed below. In addition, you may also contact your Service Provider if there could be other option.

>Mass Storage

The handset's mass storage feature allows the transfer of Pictures and Video files directly from a PC to the microSD memory card, inserted in the phone. In order to use this option, the microSD memory card must be formatted by the phone to create the necessary folders.

TO FORMAT microSD memory card, using the handset:

1. From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
2. Highlight Settings & Tools (9)
3. Select Memory (8)
4. Select Card Memory (3)
5. Press the right soft key for Options
6. Select Format Card (1)
7. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys
8. Press OK to confirm formatting the microSD memory card

Please Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER

STEPS

1. Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
2. From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu
3. Select Settings & Tools (9)
4. Select Tools (2)
5. Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
6. Select USB Mass Storage (8)
7. When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the PC... and Call Disabled on the display
8. If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually
9. Navigate to the location of the files on the PC
10. Drag n Drop or copy & paste the file(s) into into the phone's My_Pix or My-Flix folder.

WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER

>E-Mail Picture

Question

How can I play my own MP3 on my Convoy?

I am a musician. I write and record original music. I own the copyright. I am able to covert my finished pieces to MP3 format. I can email them, save them onto CDs and have them downloadable from my website. I have purchased a 16 GB micro SD memory card for my Samsung SCH-U640. I can move MP3s onto the card from my PC and from the card to the phone. I see them on the phone but they will not play. Why won't the Samsung SCH-U640 play them? These same MP3 files play without problem on a myriad of other devices. What am I doing wrong? How can I play these MP3s on my Samsung SCH-U640?

Hi Spindizzy,

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that music files saved on the 16GB microSD card inserted on your phone are not playing and we're sorry to hear that.

You're phone doesn't support 16GB microSD card or higher capacity.

Please try to do a soft reset or use lower to check if it would work.

Soft Reset: Turn of the phone. Remove and put back the battery and microSD card for at least 10-15 seconds.

You may also use the link provided below for list of supported media files of your phone.

Note: Please copy and paste the entire link provided below on the search engine.
