The bars on the battery icon blink and fill in the battery image one-by-one, even when its no longer charging. What does this mean?

Thank you for reaching out. We understand that your battery bar continues to show that its charging even without the charger and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Please try to do a soft reset. Turn of the phone, remove and put the battery back after 1-2 minutes.

You may drop by at your service provider's corporate store to try using a different battery to check if it would work.

Note: Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty. Please make sure that you are using a Samsung genuine battery and charger on the phone.

Question

Memory SD Card

My Intensity III recognizes the SD card I installed but not any of the comtent on it (pictures, music, etc). It gives me an option of "My Pictures" or "My music" but tells me there is nothing available.

You may try formatting your memory card for your phone by following the steps below:

Formatting erases all content from the memory card and
prepares it for use with your phone.

Warning: No files can be recovered after formatting.

1. From the Home screen, press the Center Select
Key to select MENU ➔ Settings & Tools ➔ Memory
➔ Card Memory ➔ Format Card.
2. At the prompt, use the Directional Key to
highlight Yes to confirm the formatting, then press the
Center Select Key OK.

Question

can I download any new fonts, the fonts for texting are so small

when texting the font is so small I can hardly see it. I have it on large. Isn't there any more fonts that can be downloaded or something I can do to increase the size when texting?

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you would like to download new fonts on your phone, since they are very small even it is already set to large fonts. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Although there's no additional option setting your phone text messaging option to have a larger font aside from the one that is available on your phone, you may try calling your service provider for available option or downloadable application that you may have on the phone to have this functionality.

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that the calendar and alarm on your phone, SCH-U485 are not working properly and we do apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused you.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

You may add a new event on your calendar by following the steps below:
Adding a new event
1. From the Home screen, press the Center Select Key to select MENU ➔ Settings & Tools ➔ Tools ➔ Calendar.
2. On the Calendar screen, use the Directional Key to highlight a date on the calendar, then press the Center Select Key VIEW to display the day’s events.
3. Press the Left Soft Key New to add a new event. On the NEW EVENT screen, use the Directional Keys to highlight each field, then enter details with the keypad:
• Subject: Enter the name of the event.
• Start Time: Enter the start time. Press the Directional Key to set am or pm.
• End Time: Enter the end time. Press the Directional Keys to set am or pm.
• Start Date: Enter the start date for the event.
• End Date: Enter the end date for the event.
• Recurrence: Press the Left Soft Key Set to set the frequency.
• Alert Time: Press the Directional Key to set an alert to sound before the event.
• Reminder: Press the Directional Key to set a reminder setting.
• Alert Tone: Press the Left Soft Key Set to set a tone for reminders.
• Vibrate: Press the Directional Key to enable or disable Vibrate notification.
4. Press the Center Select Key SAVE to save the event.

You may view an event on your calendar by following the steps provided below:
1. From the Home screen, press the Center Select Key to select MENU ➔ Settings & Tools ➔ Tools ➔ Calendar.
2. From the Calendar screen, find an event using one of these methods:
• Use the Directional Key to highlight a date on the calendar, then press the Center Select Key VIEW to display the day’s events.
• Press the Right Soft Key Options, then select Go To Date and enter a date to view.
• Press the Right Soft Key Options, then select Search. Enter criteria, then press the Center Select Key SEARCH.
3. While viewing an event, press the Right Soft Key Options for event options:
• Send: Send the event as an attachment to a Message, or by Bluetooth.
• Copy Event: Create a duplicate of the event.
• View Calendar: Return to the Calendar view.

You may set up to three alarms, to go off once, or recur periodically at a specific time. Once set, alarms are easy to change or turn off.

Note: Alarms scheduled within the next 24 hours will cause the Alarm icon to appear in Event Status on the Home screen.

You may set an alarm by following the steps provided below:
1. From the Home screen, press the Center Select
Key to select MENU ➔ Settings & Tools ➔ Tools ➔
Alarm Clock.
2. For the first alarm you set, press the Center Select Key ADD.
3. For subsequent alarms, press the Left Soft Key Add.
4. Use the Directional Key to highlight fields to enter alarm details:
• Alarm: Use the Directional Key to toggle the alarm On or Off.
• Time: Enter the time for the alarm. Use the Directional Key to select am or pm.
• Frequency: Press the Left Soft Key Set to set the frequency of the alarm.
• Snooze: Press the Left Soft Key Set to enable, and set the frequency of, snooze delays.
• Ringer: Use the Directional Key to select a ringtone.
5. When you finish entering information, press the Center Select Key SAVE.

You may disable an alarm by following the steps provided below:

(You can turn an alarm on and off without changing any other
settings.)

1. From the Home screen, press the Center Select
Key to select MENU ➔ Settings & Tools ➔ Tools ➔Alarm Clock.
2. Use the Directional Key to highlight the alarm you wish to disable.
3. Press the Right Soft Key Options, then select Turn Off

You may erase an alarm by following the steps provided below:
1. From the Home screen, press the Center Select
Key to select MENU ➔ Settings & Tools ➔ Tools ➔Alarm Clock.
2. Use the Directional Key to highlight the alarm you wish to disable.
3. Press the Right Soft Key Options and select Erase, or Erase All to remove all alarms.

Exceeded message size

Some of the pictures I have taken with my phone will not allow me to send them as a picture message. error: Exceeded message size. Please advise how to get these pictures from my phone to my laptop.

Tried using the USB cable, and the software update from VZW (verizon wireless) will not complete without errors.

Can I turn off the function that automatically capitalizes after a period ?

When I type a text, I forget not to hit [SHIFT] on the second or third sentence causing all caps. It would be easier just to hit [SHIFT] every time I need a capital.

To set the default text entry mode hit Menu and then select Messaging. Press the Left Soft Key Settings and then you should be able to set the default text entry mode from here.

By pressing Shift while entering text you can also switch between Abc (initial case), ABC (upper case), and abc (lower case) modes.
