Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

1. Power off
2. Remove the battery and leave it out for at least 30 seconds
3. Insert battery back into device
4. Power back on and evaluate

Question

How do I perform a master reset of this phone?

This phone is not currently activated on the Verizon network. I am trying to return it and would like to wipe it before I do. When I follow the instructions to do so, I have to enter a code. When I try to enter the last four digits of the original phone number that was associated with the phone, it does not work. I have tried every combination I can think of for four numbers, and nothing works. How do I do a master reset of a non-activated Intensity II?

To hide Caller ID information from the receiving end of a call follow the steps below:

Single Call

To prevent the phone number from displaying on another phone’s caller ID screen first enter asterisk, 6, 7 (, 6, 7 ) then enter the phone number to call and press the green SEND key.

Note: The call may not be completed if the person being called has set their phone to not accept anonymous calls. Instead of connecting, a message may be displayed requesting this feature be disabled and to try again.

You want to make sure you are using a microSD memory card that holds a capacity of up to 16GB. Here: http://bit.ly/IEIuqT on pages 13-14 are outlined directions on how to install and format your memory card. You can store music, pictures and other files.

Otherwise, you may want to try reaching out to the retailer you purchased the SD card from.

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC
