The MicroUSB to USB Charging Data Cable provides the ability to connect your SAMSUNG phone to your computer allowing your SAMSUNG phone to become an external modem (Consult your mobile carrier for data service availability). Use your phone to access Internet to check email, etc. The SAMSUNG MicroUSB to USB Charging Data Cable also allows you to charge your phone through the USB port on your computer.

How do I set the phone to show a voice mail has been received on the phones face?

My voice mails are shown in Messaging but does not notify me of such on the face so I have to go into the Messages to see if I have received.

Unfortunately, there is no support for the use of our standard phones with a Macintosh computer, nor does Samsung offer compatible software. The only handsets for which we provide limited support for connection to an Apple / Mac computer are the PalmOS handsets offered for use on the Sprint Network.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this presents.

However, it may be possible to use the mass storage feature of your device to connect to your Mac and drag and drop media files between your device and Mac computer, using the Mac equivalent of Windows Explorer.

AA is for Auto Answer, when you configured your phone to auto answer it would show on the screen of your flip phone. This sets your phone automatically answer the phone once you flip or open it.

Question

I am having problems with bluetooth in my 2005 Audi A6 and my Samsung Intensity II phone.

I am able to pair, but the phone is not automatically connected to my car everytime. I have to turn off my phone and turn back on for it to be recognized. Is there a setting on my phone that I need to change so my car sees my phone everytime. I never had this problem before with any other phones.

Do you need to buy an sd card in order to be able to take pictures with the Samsung Intensity 2

Whenever I press the picture button on my phone nothing happens, and I see that there is a slot for an sd card, so I was wondering if i need to have an sd card in phone in order to be able to take pictures with it.

I do not see that it is necessary to have a SD card to take pictures.

To take pictures follow the steps below:

While in standby mode, press the Camera button , located on the lower right side, to activate the Camera
Select the desired brightness setting, using the up or down navigation keys
Select the zoom setting, using the left or right navigation keys
Press OK to TAKE the picture
Press the left soft key to Save the picture or press the right soft key to Erase it
Note: The camera zoom is disabled in the 1280 x 960 Resolution

You may listen to music using a Bluetooth headset because your phone's Bluetooth supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) but please make sure that your Bluetooth headset also supports the said profile.

If you are using a third party Bluetooth headset, we cannot guarantee complete functionality and compatibility of our phones used in conjunction with third party devices such as this.

Yes you can do transfer files from your handset to your computer. And you can use the Mass Storage option for transferring files between the two device.

To transfer files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:

1.Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
2.From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu
3.Select Settings & Tools (9)
4.Select Tools (2)
5.Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
6.Select USB Mass Storage (8)
7.When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the PC... and Call Disabled on the display
8.If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually
9.Navigate to the location of the files on the PC
10.Drag n Drop or copy & paste the file(s) into into the phone's My_Pix or My-Flix folder.

WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand thst you are getting a message from your phone, SCH-U460 saying "Maximum entries already stored on calendar".

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

Samsung SGH-U460, Intensity II cell phone voicemail password

I have just gotten a Samsung SGH-U460, Intensity II cell phone. A 4-digit voicemail password is required to access to the voicemail messages. I did not use a voicemail password in my previous cell phone. How can I permanently save my voicemail password to speed-up access to voicemail messages? I still have time to return the phone.

YOu may set up voicemail password by following the steps provided below:

1. Press and hold 1.
– or –
Press star/asterisk ➔ 8 ➔ 6, then press Send key.
2. Follow the automated instructions to set up your new password and record a greeting.

Since voicemail is a network dependent feature, we advise you to call your Service Provider for more information about Voicemail.

Hi there!

We do not have any software available on our website to back up the contacts and calendar details that you have on your handset.

However for the pictures, you may send them via multimedia message or through Verizon Online Album. You may also save your pictures to your memory card.

my phone is broke i think

It doesnt recieve calls it, its got a delay when i am selecting options on it then when i do select one of the nine options on the main menu screen the option bar automatically come up and to get rid of usually hit clear and soon as it goes away it just pops up again overall it i cant do anything with it i didnt know if theres something i can do to reboot it or something i am pretty bad when it comes to technology but i was hoping someone could help

Most issues like this may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

The SCH-U460 is a Windows Based phone and it is only compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista.

There is no support for the use of our standard phones with a Macintosh computer, nor does Samsung offer compatible software.

The SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset features three different methods to transfer pictures from the handset to a PC. Each are explained, in depth, further down the page. Note: Steps for transferring pictures may vary depending on your PC's operating system.

Via Memory Card

Important!: The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

To transfer pictures (via a memory card) to a PC requires a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The microSD memory card MUST first be formatted, by the handset, in order for the handset to create the destination folders. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card

To transfer pictures (via a memory card), from the SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset, to a PC follow the steps below:

Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot
From the standby screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Scroll down then press Memory (0)
Press Phone Memory (2)
Press My Pictures (2)
Press Right soft key for Options
Select Move (2)
Press each desired Photo to check their box or choose Mark All
Press Done
Press Yes to Move the Photo(s) to the microSD memory card
Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC
Navigate to the Photo location, inside the my_pix (or my_flix) folder, using Windows Explorer
Drag and drop or copy & paste the Photo or Video into the desired destination on the PC
Note: To transfer pictures or videos from a PC simply paste them into the my_pix or my_flix folder on the memory card

Via Message

To send a picture to an e-mail address follow the steps below:

From the home screen, press the Left soft key for Messages
Press OK for New Message
Press Picture Message (2)
To the right of 1 enter the recipients e-mail address
Press on each recipient to check their box(es) then press Done
Press the Text box then enter the Message text (up to 1000 characters)
Highlight the Picture box then press the the left soft key for My Pics
Higlight desired picture then press Ok to selct
Highlight the Sound box then press the the left soft key for Sounds
Press the Subject box then enter the Subject text (up to 80 characters)
Press the Name Card box then press to add My Name Card or a Contact
Press Send to forward the Picture Message to the recipient(s)
Note: Picture are only available within the Verizon Wireless Enhanced Services Area

Tip: You can send a Picture Message to up to 10 recipients

Note: To send a message to a group the group must first be added to the favorites

Verizon Online Album

In Addition, pictures & videos may be sent from the handset directly to your Verizon Online Album. Please contact your service provider concerning all Verizon Online Album issues.

Hi there!

To download pictures from the phone to PC, you must transfer first the pictures to the memory card. From the memory card, that is where you can transfer it to the PC.

To transfer pictures (via a memory card), from the SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset, to a PC follow the steps below:

Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot
From the standby screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Scroll down then press Memory
Press Phone Memory
Press My Pictures
Press Right soft key for Options
Select Move
Press each desired Photo to check their box or choose Mark All
Press Done
Press Yes to Move the Photo(s) to the microSD memory card
Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
