Question

lock side screen keys

Is there a way to lock the two side screen keys like I can the keyboard so the phone does not turn on constantly in my pocket or in the case? It is not good to pull out the phone only to find it has been pushing its own buttons and calling who knows where and accessing who knows what. Having those two keys unlock the keyboard is not a good idea.

Hi john4anne,

Thank you for your inquiry. Your comments are valuable to us and we are committed to your satisfaction. We understand your distress about the issues you are having with your handset and would like to help resolve them.

In Samsung's history of wireless phones, we have never had a recall on any of our devices and expect that the phone that you purchase would be in working order.

Most issues can be resolved by minimal troubleshooting steps. As an initial troubleshooting step, kindly perform a soft reset by turning it off and removing the battery for 30 seconds.

If the issue persists, we invite you to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Hi werm!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Is the phone numbers from where the text message came from were saved on the address book of the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460)?

Regarding your concern, we recommend checking the address book on the SCH-U460 handset and check if the area code is included on your contacts. We also recommend checking if these contacts are duplicated. Duplicated contacts on the address book will cause the caller ID to not appear.

Should this troubleshooting step did not work; we invite to contact our Customer Support Center as they can troubleshoot this issue in a timelier manner than we could through forum correspondence.

At your earliest convenience, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Question

Why do I not get numbers on received calls?

All received/missed calls come from [no name] with unknown phone number, even if I have them added to my contacts list. This is quite a problem, as there is no way to call back missed calls. If you try to call them back from the missed calls menu, it says invalid number because there is no number. Is this an issue with the phone, or is it a Verizon Wireless problem?

Question

How do I stop the phone from ghost dialing?

I just got the Intensity II about a month about and I'm really happy with it it's just that occasionally it will ghost dial when it's sitting in my purse. I tried to alleviate this by changing from 1-button to 2-button unlock but it still seems to be dialing numbers without me actually dialing them. Is there any way to fix this? If not I fear I may have to get a new phone because I'm getting tired of having to explain to people that my phone is just dialing numbers.
