Question

Auto answer when bluetooth headset is being used.

I have looked for an option to enable auto answer when using a blue tooth unit and can't find it in the book.
I downloaded a PDF of the manual and can't find it there either. Maybe I am looking at the wrong terminology
I want the phone to auto answer a call when I am driving and do not want to have to look at the phone to answer a call

Thank you for your inquiry. You may change the call settings of your handset and check it if there's an option for you to have an auto answer for incoming calls. From the home screen, go to Menu. Go to settings and select call settings. Select on Answer option. You may choose the option Auto w/ Handsfree for auto answer on your Samsung Intensity II (SCH-U460).

MP3 ringtones are limited to those downloaded from the Verizon Media Store. Although the handset offers the ability to playback MP3 files, synchronized to the memory card or phone, there are no configurable options available to assign those MP3 files as ringtones.

My 4GB memory card wont work in SCH-U460

i have the intensity II and a PNY 4GB SDHC memory card my phone wont recognize the card at all. i am not able to even format it. the phone claims it doesn't exist what can i do?

Regarding about your concern, for us to isolate the issue, please try to insert the microSDHC memory card you have to a different device or a memory card reader and check if you can open or transfer files to the memory card.

If you still could not open and use the microSDHC memory card, we recommend contacting the manufacturer of the storage card.

We also recommend using another different memory card on the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460) and check if that story card will be recognized and can be formatted on the phone.

If you could not use a storage card on the SCH-U460 handset, we invite to contact our Customer Support Center as they can troubleshoot this issue in a timelier manner than we could through forum correspondence.

At your earliest convenience, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

When the Inbox View setting is set to Time, incoming messages are stored in the Inbox, and sent messages are stored in the Sent
folder, sorted by time. You may check the Sent items folder to see which messages were successfully sent.

Note: The Sent folder is only present when the Inbox View setting is set to Time.

Regarding about your concern, on the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460), there is an available Mobile Email feature located in the messaging menu. This feature provides (with certain E-Mail services, such as MSN® Hotmail, AOL®, Yahoo!® Mail and others) the opportunity to receive "new mail" alerts with shortcut access to your Inbox to read, delete, and respond to your e-mail as if you were on your computer.

This is a service from your network provider and it requires a data plan for you to activate and user this service on the SCH-U460 handset.

For further assistance with the use of this Mobile Web Service, we recommend contacts your network provider for assistance and specification of this service.

Regarding about your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460), there is no configurable option to enable the key guard that will not unlock when you slide the QWERTY keyboard. This is the default settings on the phone.

Question

Does the Intensity II need a special 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adapter?

I recently bought an adapter for headphones I already have that use a 3.5 mm jack. I bought a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter but it doesn't seem to fit into the phone correctly. The phone seems to have a ledge that sticks out, keeping the adapter from connecting correctly. I'm aware that you only recommend Samsung accessories to use with the phone, but I already had a good pair of stereo headphones to use to listen to MP3s. I just can't get them to connect correctly. I have searched the Samsung Accessory site and can't seem to find any sort of adapters.

The compatible hand-free headset for the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460) are the Hands-Free Mono Headset (2.5mm) with part number AEP010SLEB/STD and the 2.5mm Hands-free Stereo Soft-Gel Headset with part number AAEP434VBE.

We do not recommend the use of any 3rd party devices with our products due to compatibility issue that may affect the performance of our devices.

Should there will be a compatible 3.5mm jack adapter that you can use for the SCH-U460 handset, it will be posted on our website.

Question

It the verizon store the only way to get apps and ringtones on the phone?

Ringtones put in my "My Ringtones" folder via the memory card/PC cable are not available. There also seems no way to transfer applications to it other than the Verizon app store. Any detailed help would be great.

Why is the phone so slow, even when i have good signal? Is there a way to fix it?

when i click the soft key to unlock it, it takes about a second to unlock it and then if i want to view a text then it takes 3-5 seconds just to open it.

Are you using the same original battery and charger on the phone? Is there any physical damage? Has the phone been exposed to liquid?

Check if you have enough memory in your phone or in your memory card.

Try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again to reboot the handset.

Can I run third party applications on my Samsung Intensity II?

I have the Intensity II. It did not come with a CD to install file transfer software. I copied programs to the SD Micro but can not access the files to run the programs.

can you disable one key unlock intensity 2

Intensity 2 unlocks in pocket due to one key unlock (zero key). This has cost me a large sum of money in calls and data charges due to pocket dials. Where can I get the firmware patch to remove the zero key as an unlock option and leave the normal 2 key combination only.

There's no configurable options to disable the keypad lock on the phone.

You can put a phone lock on the phone and assign an unlock code to prevent accidentally dialling the keypad.
