Question

How do I listen to My Music through a bluetooth headset?

I have a Plantronics Explorer 220 bluetooth headset paired with my Samsung Intensity II phone and I am able to make calls through it, but when I play music, it plays through the phone's speaker unless I plug in a corded headset. Is there a way to play the music through the bluetooth headset?

Question

Does the Intensity II need a special 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adapter?

I recently bought an adapter for headphones I already have that use a 3.5 mm jack. I bought a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter but it doesn't seem to fit into the phone correctly. The phone seems to have a ledge that sticks out, keeping the adapter from connecting correctly. I'm aware that you only recommend Samsung accessories to use with the phone, but I already had a good pair of stereo headphones to use to listen to MP3s. I just can't get them to connect correctly. I have searched the Samsung Accessory site and can't seem to find any sort of adapters.

Thanks for the help!

Hi debimiller19!

Thank you for your inquiry.

The compatible hand-free headset for the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460) are the Hands-Free Mono Headset (2.5mm) with part number AEP010SLEB/STD and the 2.5mm Hands-free Stereo Soft-Gel Headset with part number AAEP434VBE.

We do not recommend the use of any 3rd party devices with our products due to compatibility issue that may affect the performance of our devices.

Should there will be a compatible 3.5mm jack adapter that you can use for the SCH-U460 handset, it will be posted on our website.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. With regard to your concern, the first 30 text messages you received using your phone would go straight and stored to the sim card inserted in your phone and the rest would go through the phone memory. There are no configurable options to save the picture messages into your simcard. By default, pictures messages are stored in the phone memory.

Hi linnrose!

Thank you for sending an inquiry.

If your phone is unable to find a signal after searching, a Power Save feature is automatically activated. If your phone is active, it periodically rechecks service availability or you can check it yourself by pressing any key. Anytime the Power Save feature is activated, a message displays on the screen. When a signal is found, your phone returns to standby mode.

Question

I asked this question a couple days ago and no response. What is the proper way to download ringtones to the phone. I have MP3 files but now realize Samsung does not use MP3. So I converter them over to AMR. I get them on the phone and the ringtone is so low you cannot hear them. Is there a procedure that we can follow? Thanks.

Hi cqbiker,

Thank you for your correspondence. MP3 ringtones are limited to those downloaded from your Service Provider's Media Store. Although the handset offers the ability to playback MP3 files, synchronized to the memory card or phone, there are no configurable options available to assign those MP3 files as ringtones.

For further assistance with downloaded MP3 files contact your service provider.

You may convert your music files to a compatible file format, however the quality of the ringtones would depend on the converted sounds.

Supported File Types: MP3, MP4 / AAC, MP4 / AMR, M4A, 3GP / AAC, 3GP / AMR, WMA REAL

Hi Tinkey69.

Thank you for your inquiry. While your handset does support the Bluetooth profile for hands free and phone book access profile operation, this would best be addressed by your car kit manufacturer or vehicle manufacturer, as they can provide a list handsets approved for compatibility. In most cases, this information is available on the manufacturer’s website.

Please bear in mind that Samsung does not support the use of any third party hardware with our handsets. We apologize for any inconvenience this presents.

Hi Chef!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Apparently, we do not have any available software or drivers for you to connect the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460) to your computer. Samsung does not offer a Data Kit software package, for the purpose of transferring data between the pSCH-U460 and a personal computer.

If you are going to transfer media files between your phone and a computer, it will require you to have microSD memory card inserted on the phone and compatible USB data cable. Once you have the requirements, please follow the procedures on the link below on how you can connect the phone to the computer.

If the microSD memory card came from another phone and you could not saved any files on it. Try to format the microSD memory card using your phone so that the phone will recognize the microSD memory card inserted in it.

Please follow the procedures on the link below on how to format storage card on the SCH-U460:

http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa/jsp/faqs/faqs_view_us.jsp?SITE_ID=22&PG_ID=2&PROD_SUB_ID=557&PROD_ID=561&AT_ID=300537
