Hi Cab10!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, the Samsung Intensity™ II (SCH-u460) is CDMA handset and does not use a SIM card.

If you are referring removing the microSD memory card from the SCH-U460 handset, pull the memory card cover out which is located at the lower right side of the phone and turn it to expose the memory card in the slot. Press on the memory card to release the lock, and then remove the card.

We appreciate your continued interest in Samsung products.

Hi there!

There is no available driver nor software that you can download from the Samsung website.

The handset's mass storage feature allows the transfer of MP3 files directly from a PC to the microSD memory card, inserted in the phone. In order to use this option, the microSD memory card must be formatted by the phone to create the necessary folders. For instructions on how to format a microSD memory card,

Please Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot.
From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the PC and Call Disabled on the display
Select USB Mass Storage
If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually
Navigate to the location of the MP3 files on the PC
Drag n Drop or copy & paste the MP3 file(s) into into the phone's My_Music folder

How can I get my computer to talk to this phone to transfer music/pictures/phone book directly

The SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset features three different methods to transfer media files from the handset to a PC.

•Via Memory Card
•Via Message
•Verizon Online Album

Please Note: The SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play or view some purchased or subscription content. These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being played, copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Via Memory Card

Important!: The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

To transfer pictures (via a memory card) to a PC requires a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The microSD memory card MUST first be formatted, by the handset, in order for the handset to create the destination folders. Thank you for sending us an inquiry.

There is no configurable option on the settings of the phone to play itunes. However if you have mp3 files downloaded on your computer, you may try to transfer it to your phone via mass storage and listen to music. We just need to configure some settings for the file transfer, just follow the link below.

Note: You may also try to convert your itunes music to a file that can be played on the phone.

Question

How can I set up my calendar so it does NOT alert me about appointments?

I keep my phone on vibrate, and use my calendar a lot, but I look at it in the morning, and that's all I need - I don't need to be alerted!!! My reminder and vibrate are off, my alert tone is set to 'no ring', but I don't have the option to NOT have an alert!! It is really enough to make me consider changing phones.

3. Select Memory (0)
4. Select Card Memory (3)
5. Select Format Card (8)

Please Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

Note: If the Bluetooth feature is currently active on the phone, USB communication will not be available.

To transfer files to your phone, turn off the Bluetooth functionality.
To turn Bluetooth On or Off follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press OK for Menu.
2. Select Settings & Tools (9)
3. Select Bluetooth (4)
4. Press the left soft key for either Turn On or Turn Off Bluetooth.

WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE MP3 FILE TRANSFER
To transfer MP3 files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:

2. From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu.
3. Select Settings & Tools (9)
4. Select Tools (3)

10. Navigate to the location of the MP3 files on the PC

Hi, Kdm313!

Yes. The SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset features two different methods to transfer pictures from the handset to a PC. In addition you may also try to ask your Service Provider for other options.

Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

TO FORMAT MEMORY CARD:

 Pull the memory card cover out and turn it to expose the card slot.
 Push the memory card into the slot until it locks into place

Caution: DO NOT force the card into the memory card slot, as this could damage the card and/or the handset

 From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
 Highlight Settings & Tools (9)
 Select Memory (0)
 Select Card Memory (3)
 Select Format Card (8)
 Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys
 Press OK to confirm formatting the microSD memory card

WARNING: Formatting the microSD Memory Card will permanently erase all data

Note: Locked pictures cannot be moved to a memory card

STEPS

1. Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot
2. From the standby screen, press Menu
3. Press Settings & Tools
4. Scroll down then press Memory (0)
5. Press Phone Memory (2)
6. Press My Pictures (2)
7. Press Right soft key for Options
8. Select Move (2)
9. Press each desired Photo to check their box or choose Mark All
10. Press Done
11. Press Yes to Move the Photo(s) to the microSD memory card
12. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
13. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
14. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
15. Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC
16. Navigate to the Photo location, inside the my_pix (or my_flix) folder, using Windows Explorer
17. Drag and drop or copy & paste the Photo or Video into the desired destination on the PC

Note: To transfer pictures or videos from a PC simply paste them into the my_pix or my_flix folder on the memory card

>Via Message

STEPS

1. From the home screen, press the Left soft key for Messages
2. Press OK for New Message
3. Press Picture Message (2)
4. To the right of 1 enter the recipients e-mail address
5. Press on each recipient to check their box then press Done
6. Press the Text box then enter the Message text (up to 1000 characters)
7. Highlight the Picture box then press the left soft key for My Picture

10. Press the Subject box then enter the Subject text (up to 80 characters)
11. Press the Name Card box then press to add My Name Card or a Contact
12. Press Send to forward the Picture Message to the recipient(s)
