The handset's mass storage feature allows the transfer of MP3 files directly from a PC to the microSD memory card, inserted in the phone. In order to use this option, the microSD memory card must be formatted by the phone to create the necessary folders.
There is no driver nor software needed for the process.

Please Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot.
From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the PC and Call Disabled on the display
Select USB Mass Storage
If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually
Navigate to the location of the MP3 files on the PC
Drag n Drop or copy & paste the MP3 file(s) into into the phone's My_Music folder

Thank you for your inquiry. Please follow the steps below for the instructions on how to turn off your caller id readout.

From the Home screen, press the Center Select Key to select MENU > Settings & Tools > Sounds Settings > Call Sounds.

Choose Caller ID Readout for caller ID settings, for incoming calls for which Caller ID information is available. Select Ring Only to have the phone play the Call Ringtone for incoming calls.

There is no configurable option on the settings of the phone to play itunes. However if you have mp3 files downloaded on your computer, you may try to transfer it to your phone via mass storage and listen to music. We just need to configure some settings for the file transfer, just follow the steps below.
> Ensure that the Memory Card is properly inserted into the device
> Ensure that the USB mode is set on Mass Storage:
> Select Menu
> Settings
> Select Applications
> Select USB settings
> Select Mass storage even if already selected
> Press Home key to return to the home screen
> Make sure that USB debugging is uncheck:
> Select Menu
> Applications
> Select Settings
> Development
> Uncheck alll three options ( USB debugging, Allow mock location, Stay Awake)> Connect the USB data cable to the device and a laptop or PC
> After the USB icon appears in the Notification Drawer, pull it down
> Select USB Connected
> Select Mount
> On the PC, navigate to the Removable Disk assigned to the device. This can be done through the automatic pop up screen or ‘My Computer.’
> Drag and drop (copy and paste) files from other locations of your PC to this folder

Note: You can also try to convert your itunes to a file that would play on the phone. Just download a file converter on the computer.

The SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset features three different methods to transfer media files from the handset to a PC.

•Via Memory Card
•Via Message
•Verizon Online Album

Please Note: The SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play or view some purchased or subscription content. These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being played, copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.

1. Via Memory Card

Important!: The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

To transfer pictures (via a memory card) to a PC requires a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The microSD memory card MUST first be formatted, by the handset, in order for the handset to create the destination folders. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

WARNING: Formatting the microSD Memory Card will permanently erase all data

Note: Locked pictures cannot be moved to a memory card

To transfer pictures (via a memory card), from the SCH-U460 (Intensity II) handset, to a PC follow the steps below:

1.Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot
2.From the standby screen, press Menu
3.Press Settings & Tools
4.Scroll down then press Memory (0)
5.Press Phone Memory (2)
6.Press My Pictures (2)
7.Press Right soft key for Options
8.Select Move (2)
9.Press each desired Photo to check their box or choose Mark All
10.Press Done
11.Press Yes to Move the Photo(s) to the microSD memory card
12.Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
13.Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
14.Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
15.Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC
16.Navigate to the Photo location, inside the my_pix (or my_flix) folder, using Windows Explorer
17.Drag and drop or copy & paste the Photo or Video into the desired destination on the PC
Note: To transfer pictures or videos from a PC simply paste them into the my_pix or my_flix folder on the memory card

2. Via Message

To send a picture to an e-mail address follow the steps below:

1.From the home screen, press the Left soft key for Messages
2.Press OK for New Message
3.Press Picture Message (2)
4.To the right of 1 enter the recipients e-mail address
5.Press on each recipient to check their box(es) then press Done
6.Press the Text box then enter the Message text (up to 1000 characters)
7.Highlight the Picture box then press the the left soft key for My Pics
8.Higlight desired picture then press Ok to selct
9.Highlight the Sound box then press the the left soft key for Sounds
10.Press the Subject box then enter the Subject text (up to 80 characters)
11.Press the Name Card box then press to add My Name Card or a Contact
12.Press Send to forward the Picture Message to the recipient(s)
Note: Picture are only available within the Verizon Wireless Enhanced Services Area

Tip: You can send a Picture Message to up to 10 recipients

Note: To send a message to a group the group must first be added to the favorites

3. Via Verizon Online Album

In Addition, pictures & videos may be sent from the handset directly to your Verizon Online Album. Please contact your service provider concerning all Verizon Online Album issues.

For instructions on how to format a microSD memory card.
1. From the standby screen, press OK for Menu.
2. Highlight Settings & Tools (9)
3. Select Memory (0)
4. Select Card Memory (3)
5. Select Format Card (8)
6. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys.
7. Press OK to confirm formatting the microSD memory card.

Note: If the Bluetooth feature is currently active on the phone, USB communication will not be available.

To transfer files to your phone, turn off the Bluetooth functionality.
To turn Bluetooth On or Off follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press OK for Menu.
2. Select Settings & Tools (9)
3. Select Bluetooth (4)
4. Press the left soft key for either Turn On or Turn Off Bluetooth.

WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE MP3 FILE TRANSFER
To transfer MP3 files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:

1. Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot.
2. From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu.

4. Select Tools (3)
5. Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the computer's USB slot.
6. When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the computer... and Call Disabled on the display.
7. Select USB Mass Storage (8)
8. If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable 9. Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually.
10. Navigate to the location of the MP3 files on the PC
11. Drag n Drop or copy & paste the MP3 file(s) into into the phone's My_Music folder.

After setting up to Off your alert tone and minder tones, you may try doing the soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back on and evaluate it. If it's still not working and still doing the same thing, you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

Unfortunately, there is no support for the use of our standard phones with a Macintosh computer, nor does Samsung offer compatible software. The only handsets for which we provide limited support for connection to a Mac are the PalmOS handsets offered for use on the Sprint Network.
