Pics & Video on MicroSD card

I recently changed my phone from a Rogue to the Brightside. I moved all my pics & videos onto the MicroSD card in the Rogue. When I insert that card into the Brightside, it doesn't find any pics or videos. Why?

I too had this issue, what i did was move all the pic's/video's from the SD card to my computer (i used a micro SD card adapter) then placed the SD card back in my Brightside & reformatted the card (there is a selection in the phone to do this).
Then i put the SD card back in my computer & put the Pic's/Video's in the named folders & reinserted the card in my phone & presto...Good Luck

I had the same problem. I had to rename the video and picture folders on my SD card so my phone would recongize them. I plugged my phone into my computer via the USB cable provided to access the card and renamed the folders 'my_pictures' and 'my_videos'. Good luck.

Question

Will there be a software update for this phone?

I've had this phone for about a week and a half now and I've noticed two major things:

1) When typing certain words while using the touch screen to text in the T9 mode, the phone totally freezes and then shuts off on its own, or it'll stay frozen and I will have to take out the battery to get it working again. I obviously barely use this since I always use the keyboard, but it still seems like a bad flaw in the system.

2) When I talk to a person over the phone several times in a row, the call will be listed as only one call. It'll only keep the most recent call from that person in the recent call list and won't show the others from that same person. The overall call timer seems unaffected however.

So, I'm wondering if there are any fixes to these problems or if there will be some in the future.

Question

How to Remove those black Shaded Bars on Lock Screen

How can i Remove those "black shaded bar's" behind the Clock & Banner on the lock screen while viewing your wallpaper ??

Someone else posted this question already & your answer was to do a Soft Reset after turning off the Clock/Banner but that does NOT work.
I have even reset the phone back to factory & even got a replacement phone (for this issue & a couple other things). Please help there has to be a way to remove those (they are so ANNOYING), they cover up 2/3 of your wallpaper screen.

Question

Bluetooth will not auto connect??

I set-up my BrightSide to use with my BT Pioneer Headunit...every other time I have to manually connect. It will NOT auto connect...yes the auto connect is turned ON. I have removed the device and re-paired the devices twice...it does not help. Do I have a bad phone or is something else going on??? Thanks for your help!!

Regarding your concern, please try to pull the battery for a few minutes for a soft reset and forget the network before trying again. You should also try the BT device on another phone to pinpoint whether the issue is with your BT device or your phone. Also see here pg 54 for more info:

I recommend first trying a soft reset by turning off the phone, taking out the battery, replacing the battery after a few seconds, then rebooting.

I highly suggest you visiting a Verizon Wireless device store or contacting their support team as they may be able to better assist. A list of service provider contact numbers can be found at the following URL:

Changing default message tone

Hello. I have changed the default message tone on this device. When I receive a message from a contact, contact has default message tone, I do not get the tone I set, I get the original default tone. When I get a message from an unknown number, I get the tone I selected for default message.

Please answer why the device is not using my set default message tone when I receive a message from a contact.

Please do not point me to the manual for how to set message tones, I have read the manual.

Question

Charging using "other" USB cable

How come this device will not charge using another USB cable when attached to a Windows XP computer? USB cables are manufactured to a universal standard. The device reports that it is charging, the battery indicator shows charging, but when disconnected, the battery is at or below level before starting to charge.

There is nothing in the manual for this, please do not link me to a manual page, I have read it.

Windows XP drivers

Why are there no Windows XP drivers for this device? Please let me know when I can expect Samsung to release drivers for this device, I can't believe they are not available.

Question

Delay when pushing the Unlock button

Why is there such a long delay when pushing the unlock button on this device? The delay can be so long sometimes that I hit the button more than once thinking that either I missed it or I was ignored. Then, the device responds to ALL the pushes and blinks back and forth, thus prolonging even further my ability to use the device.

Please do not link me to any manual pages, as I've said before, I've read the thing from end to end.

So sorry you are having these issues.

I first suggest trying a soft reset but pulling the battery for a couple minutes. If that doesn't help, try a hard reset, AFTER backing up your data.

Question

Is there a software update to increase the volume?

Volume is too low on this phone. It is hard to hear people or for people to hear me either over the speaker or with the phone. Checked the settings but it is up as high as it can go. Guess I will have to return this phone.
