can I disable the volume button on the side of the knack?

I have a Knack for my elderly father. When he pulls the phone out of his pocket he keeps turning off the ringer volume. Is there a way to disable the volume key on the side of the phone?

Hello and thanks for reaching out! I suggest trying a soft reset:

1. Remove the battery
2. Wait 2 minutes
3. Replace battery
4. Reboot phone

Most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting, like taking the battery out and outing it right back again (Soft Reset). You can also reset the phone to its factory settings. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. Charges start at $75.36 and can increase, depending upon the nature and severity of the issue. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

Regarding configuring the number of rings, you need to contact your service provider so they can configure it for you.

Your service provider will be able to set it up to 10 times.

If the phone is not powering on, the contacts saved can no longer be retrieved.

Greetings!

Pertaining to your query, you can try the following steps on how to change the settings of the phone to its Normal Profile please follow the steps below:
On the Idle Screen press the # key until it will show that the Normal Profile has been activated.

However, if you’re intending to change the ringtone of your phone, please follow the steps below:
To change the Ringtones follow the steps below:
1.While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
2.Select Settings (5)
3.Select Sound Settings (1)
4.Select Ringtone (1)
5.Highlight the desired ringtone, using the navigation keys
6.Press the OK button to save the Ringtone setting

Is there a Bluetooth headset and Bluetooth adapter that can be used with my Samsung Knack U310 cell phone

I have a Samsung Knack U310 cell phone. According to your website, the WEP470 Bluetooth Headset Kit (AWEP470JBE) is compatible with my cell phone. However, I don't think my cell phone has built-in Bluetooth. Is there a way to verify that I can use th WEP470 BT headset with my U310 cell phone? Does the WEP470 come with a Bluetooth adapter?
