Thank you for your inquiry. By pressing the Volume Up key on your handset, you will increase the volume of the earpiece of your Samsung Knack (SCH-U310). And to lower down the volume, just press the volume down key.

MY UNIT WENT BAD WHILE SITTING IN THE CHARGER

IT IS NOW FLASHING 'VERIZON' IN GRAY WHILE IN THE CHARGER. OUT OF THE CHARGER IT IS VERIZON IN COLOR BUT A TWO COLOR LINE PROCEEDS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT REPEATILY.
AT ONE TIME A WARNING FAILURE APPEARED.. L06 or 106. I HAVE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED THE BATTERY.

Thank you for your inquiry. With regard to your concern, the text messages you received using your phone would go straight and stored to the phone memory and there are no configurable options to save the text messages in your phone to a computer.

1. Power off
2. Remove the battery and leave it out for at least 30 seconds
3. Insert battery back into device
4. Power back on and evaluate

What problems are people having with cell phones freezing up?

Most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting, like taking the battery out and outing it right back again (Soft Reset). You can also reset the phone to its factory settings. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. Charges start at $75.36 and can increase, depending upon the nature and severity of the issue. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

For CDMA phones, the disc that came with the handset contains the usb driver for computer connection. If that disc doesn't have the one that you want, you can ask your current service provider for this concern.

U310 Problems - 1) Inbox not getting erased 2) Very slow response time 3) Sometimes, calls do not get d/c even after repeatedly pressing END btn.

This phone has been giving me a lot of problems from day one. Don't get me wrong (I am pretty satisfied with the other two Samsung phones that I have) and take it as a constructive feedback. This is probably the worst phone/software you have designed and needs serious fixes. And apart from the aforesaid problems there are more. Please help me.
