Thank you for your inquiry. By pressing the Volume Up key on your handset, you will increase the volume of the earpiece of your Samsung Knack (SCH-U310). And to lower down the volume, just press the volume down key.

MY UNIT WENT BAD WHILE SITTING IN THE CHARGER

IT IS NOW FLASHING 'VERIZON' IN GRAY WHILE IN THE CHARGER. OUT OF THE CHARGER IT IS VERIZON IN COLOR BUT A TWO COLOR LINE PROCEEDS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT REPEATILY.
AT ONE TIME A WARNING FAILURE APPEARED.. L06 or 106. I HAVE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED THE BATTERY.

Thank you for your inquiry. With regard to your concern, the text messages you received using your phone would go straight and stored to the phone memory and there are no configurable options to save the text messages in your phone to a computer.

Is there a new software update?

I am having alarm clock problems. I have two of them set up to take medications. Many times they repeatedly go off after I press the dismiss button. Other times they do not turn on at all. My phone is: Samsung Knack SCH-U310

The alarm icon with a line across it indicates that the ringer is silenced for all alerts, incoming calls, and incoming messages. While in standby mode, press the volume key, located on the left side of the phone, then select “All Sounds Off”. The phone will show the All Sounds Off icon in the lower left corner of the display. To disable simply perform the same action while in All Sounds Off Mode.

You can adjust the ringer volume on the SCH-U310 (Knack) phone by doing the steps below.

Volume Level
1. From the home screen, press the left soft key Menu.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press Sound Settings then press Volume Level.
4. Press the Navigation key up or down to highlight the desired ringtone volume and press Ok.

Tip: The Volume Key located at the side of the phone allows you to adjust the master volume or adjust the voice volume during a call.

1. Power off
2. Remove the battery and leave it out for at least 30 seconds
3. Insert battery back into device
4. Power back on and evaluate
