(Cricket) Samsung Galaxy Indulge Keyboard issues

Randomly when I hit the "E" key on the physical keyboard my email opens up, whether I'm at the home screen or in the middle of a text. It's REALLY frustrating when trying to text and while trying to type something like "Hello" my message is cut short and email opens. I have tried hitting shift/FN in combination with every key on my keyboard, nothing. I have to turn off my phone to get it to stop (for maybe a day or two). The touch screen "E" is fine. Once my "S" key opened up the internet until I reset as well.

Battery life durations specified on our products are tested in our labs under multiple different conditions and the talk and standby times are a realistic average maximum dependent on customer usage variables. Battery power consumption depends on a number of factors, such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns. Some variables that may affect battery life are:

• Backlight settings set to always on or a long amount of time
• Ring tone settings set to higher volume settings
• Vibrate settings turned on
• Using Internet Services including Text Messaging
• Making and/or Receiving calls in, or simply standing by in, an analog service area
• If you tend to be in a "weak" coverage area where your signal strength meter shows only 1 to 2 bars
• Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty.

First, make sure you've got a good signal. There are two ways to send a picture message.
Method A allows you to choose whether you're emailing, texting, otherwise sharing the photo.
Step 1:Go to the photo "Gallery" and select the thumbnail of the photo you want to send.
Step 2:Select "Menu" and then select "Share".
Step 3:Select "Messaging" and the messaging window will appear.
Step 4: The cursor will automatically appear in the "To:" field. Select and add your recipients.
Step 5: Enter whatever message you want to accompany your picture where is says "Type to compose" and select send.

Method B is more direct, but is only for texting.
Step 1: Open up the messaging application and select either "New Message" or if responding to a previous message, select the recipient's name from previous messages received.
Step 2: Press the Menu button to the far left at the bottom of the phone. A menu of options will appear.
Step 3: Select "Attach" and chose what you want to attach (Pictures, Videos, Audio, etc).In this case, assuming that you select Pictures, the Gallery will appear.
Step 4: Select the thumbnail of the photo you want to send. It will then show up in the messaging window with options to view, replace or remove.
Step 5:Type your message and send.

As for receiving, I can only assume that you're signal is too low to allow proper downloading. If you've got a full 3G or 4G signal, be sure to check your gallery to see if the photo you downloaded from the message is there.

Hi,

Yes USB Debugging does work on this device. Goto Settings -> Applications -> Development and check box to turn it on.

Oh, and your phone can not be charging to change this setting. Be sure to unplug the USB wire first.

To connect to internet other than wifi is where Metro PCS's cellular network provides signals to the phone that gives you your data connection for the internet. I'm rarely connected through my wifi, just connected from the network. Then again I have 4G in my area which helps speed things up. If you do not have the network in your area then wifi is about your only gateway to the internet.

How come there are no aftermarket UICCs available, or are they?

When I bought the phone to my dismay it included everything accept the UICC. I went to the MetroPCS site for more info, and on there I learned that the UICC once installed in the phone can no longer be used in another phone, but it did not say that the phone itself would not accept another UICC.

SCH-R910 is a CDMA mobile phone. CDMA (Code division multiple access) phones, don't have a slot wherein you can put a sim card.

Some apps out on the market will not work well with the cell phones operating systems. I would have to take an app out of my phone if it started crashing and freezing up my phone. I know it stinks. There are some really cool apps that I would like to have, but I don't want my phone freezing all the time due to an app. not working with the phone.

Can I make it so my phone doesnt lock?

I can't stand how the phone goes into a blank mode and you have to hit the button and swipe the thing to reopen it. Can't i change something so it just stays as is?

(Search for a Bluetooth device and pair with it, to exchange information between your phone and the device.)

1. From the Home screen, press Menu, then touch Settings ➔ Wireless & networks.
2. Touch Bluetooth to turn on Bluetooth.
3. Activate the target device’s discoverable mode.
4. Touch Bluetooth settings ➔ Scan devices.
5. From the list of scanned devices, touch the target device.
6. At the prompt, enter the passkey for the target device and touch OK. Your phone is now paired with the target device, and ready to transfer information via Bluetooth.

You may send Namecards via Bluetooth by following the steps provided below:

Important: Not all Bluetooth devices will accept contact information. Check the target device’s documentation.

1. Navigate to a Home screen panel, touch Contacts.
2. Touch a contact to display its information.
3. Press Menu, then touch Send via.
4. At the prompt, choose a sending method, Bluetooth.

You may also send multiple namecards via Bluetooth by following the steps provided below:

1. Navigate to a Home screen panel, touch Contacts.
2. Press Menu, then touch More ➔ Send via bluetooth.
3. Touch contacts to mark them for sending, or touch Select all to mark all contacts. A check mark appears in the check
box for marked contacts.
4. Touch Send.
5. Follow the prompts to send the namecards.
