There is no "real OS." It runs Touchwiz 2.0, which is outdated and had already been superceeded by Touchwiz 3.0 at the time of this phone's release. There is no chance of an upgrade.You cannot install anything other than what MetroPCS offers, which is not a lot. The only video it is capable of is what runs through MetroPCS's servers, and you cannot install flash on it. Don't buy this phone.

i think he/she is asking about the screen that comes up when the phone is locked which is always one of several preloaded images that you can not erase from the phone's memory.
i have this problem too. seems like it should be an easy thing to change

Attach the phone in USB mode and use an 3rd party music application. Only add Mp3 files, as those are the only tags it can read if you want to be able to sort you music on the phone by artist or album.

It's Android "based" but AFAIK it doesn't run Flash, Java, or Android apps. It's a proprietary system made for Metro PCS.

For you to connect the Samsung Craft™ (SCH-R900) to the computer and transfer music files, it would require you to have USB data cable and also download on your computer the driver for the SGH-A687 handset, which is the Samsung New PC Studio.

For you to download the Samsung New PC Studio on your computer:
1. Deactivate the antivirus and firewall on your computer.
2. Open the web browser and then log on to this link:

3. Click on the software tab and then download the compatible driver for the type of OS on your computer.
