if you go to your messaging and hold the space for when you type your message you should get a input method click on it and android keyboard should pop up and click it that should disable the other keyboards
Download USB driver found at >Support>downloads>manuals&software and click the file icon to the right. Once installed, connect your phone with the USB cable that came with the phone (It is also part of the wall charger).
Navigate to "notifications" on your phone's screen. You will see "USB connected". Click large button icon to activate mass storage setting which then allows your computer to see the phone's SD card.
You can transfer music, etc. to the appropriate folders in the directory. When finished, tap the large button icon once more to turn off mass storage to safely disconnect the device.
NOTE: download the PDF manual found along with the driver. It is much more in depth than the literature included in the box.
Hope this helps

My Admire screen keeps flickering horizontal lines all over the screen.
I've owned this phone for a little over a day (fresh out of the box) and already its flickering lines all over the place. I've done a factory reset, charged it regularly, and haven't hardly used it yet and its freaking out. Please help... I don't know what to do and if I send it back to Metro PCS I doubt they'll give me a "new" one, and it might not solve the problem.
go to your contacts... press the bottom left menu key... go to "Display options"... under "Choose contacts to display" click to expand "your account" Check Mark all... System Group: All Other Contacts: Etc.... & If there is one with no name: check that too (there was in mine) you should now see them all.
(It seems that these folders are synced in from your account)

i just got the samsung admire. in my old android i was able to use my music as ringtones for contacts why cant i do that with this phone or how do i d
Set any of your songs on your SDcard as a phone ringtone:
May sure you use the music player that came with the Metro and or phone; not a player app. that you downloaded.
•From the Music player application library, navigate to a song you want to use as a phone ringtone •Touch & hold the song in the list to open the context menu. (You can also access same menu during song playback by pressing the Menu hard key) •Select Use as phone ringtone. The ringtone is set as your default incoming call ringtone and copied to your Phone ringtone list.
2. Choose Phone ringtones through settings menu:
•Press the Menu hard key •Touch Settings •Touch Sound & display •Touch Phone ringtone (If option is greyed out, make sure handset volume is not set to Silent Mode) •Select a Phone ringtone from the list. Press OK to set. (Music files you have set as Incoming Call ringtone from your SDcard will be included in this list along with downloaded and preloaded ringtones.
3. Customize the text message ringtone
•From the homescreen or from within the applications tray, touch Text messaging •Press the Menu hard key (On the left with 4 squares) •Touch Messaging Settings •Touch Select ringtones (if option is greyed out, make sure Notifications is turned on / actived) •Touch on any Notification ringtone to select and hear a sample. •Press OK to set as notification ringtone
