The pictures don't show up (jpg) from the SD card. They are in a folder called 'Pictures'. However, the MP3's showed up when I wanted to select a ring tone. They were in a folder called 'Ringtones' on the same SD card. Don't understand why the phone sees an MP3 from the SD card but won't show a jpg file from the same card. Thank you.

Wallpaper lets you choose images to appear in the background of your mobile device's screen while in Standby mode.

In Standby mode, touch Menu> Settings > Display Settings > Wallpaper.
To browse the thumbnail images, slide your finger up or down on the touch screen.
Touch the desired picture, then touch Set.
Touch Lock Screen, Home screen 1, Home screen 2 or Home screen 3 to assign the wallpaper to a specific screen

Question

Music won't show up on Samsung Character

Some of my music won't show up on my Samsung Character. I put them on a Micro SD card, and some show up, but there are others that don't. They do show up as ringtones, but not as music.

Please try a soft reset.
1. Power off
2. Remove the battery and leave it out for at least 30 seconds
3. Insert battery back into device
4. Power back on and evaluate

This code is a camera function failure on the phone.

Please try a soft reset.
1. Power off
2. Remove the battery and leave it out for at least 30 seconds
3. Insert battery back into device
4. Power back on and evaluate

Hi there,

You can erase all of the messages in each or all of your folders from one convenient location.
Note: This function erases all messages in the selected box. To delete a single message, open the box from the Messaging menu, then delete the message from the Options menu while viewing the message content.

In Standby mode, touch Messaging > Options > Erase Messages.
Touch Messages, Drafts or All Messages to select the messages to erase.
Follow the screen prompts to confirm messages to erase

operation of SCH-r640

Is there a way to keep dialer on phone when entering information it is difficult to access voice mail and nearly impossible to set up voice mail box when it continually layers other screen and forces the user to swipe the screen and then touch dialer again between each entry series. If we can,t resolve this we are going to have to get different phones.

Can I put Icons on one of my home screens?

Is there any way for me to put I cons on one of the 3 home screens that are not in the widget tray. The widget tray does not have a choice for the calculator or alarm clock, is there any way to put these on the screen so that I dont have to go thru the menu to get to them>
