Samsung does not offer a Data Kit software package, for the purpose of transferring data between the handset and a personal computer or for using a Generic CDMA handset as a modem for a personal computer. However, depending on the model, there may be a media card slot located on the side of handset or in the battery compartment that allows information to be transferred to a personal computer with the use of a media card reader. For information on selecting the correct media card reader, please visit the Samsung Accessory website or check with a local computer store to purchase a media card reader compatible with both your computer and the media card type.

Hi there,

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The serial number of the phone will be the HEX number it's located underneath the battery of the phone and it’s going to be at the back of the phone itself after taking out the battery and see for the bar codes.

There are two (2) ways to update software on the phone, by updating the through Samsung website or coming from the Service Provider. Right now there's no available update on Samsung website and with the Service Provider, I believe there's none as well. Please check with your service provider for more information.

Question

I broke my touch screen how do I get my pictures off of it using a usb cord?

I don't even know if its possible,

I dropped the phone and cracked the screen and now the screen is just white...the phone works great still just can't see anything, is there any way to connect my phone to my computer to get the pictures and stuff off of it??

SCH-R631 driver download?

So I connected my phone to a computer via data cable and it tries to download the driver but it will never complete and it keeps trying to download the driver over and over. So I was wondering if there was a fix to this problem because I would like to add pictures and music to my phone but the UBS driver will not intstall.

Question

How can I change my color scheme?

The original color settings on my phone are a dark grey background with white letters, numbers, and characters. I'm okay with this but I would prefer to be able to change it to a white background with black characters, or some other color scheme. Are there options to do this? I've looked under settings, text message settings, all over my phone and I cannot find a way to change this. If there is no option on my phone, is there a way I can download any other color schemes or themes? Thank you.

Regarding about your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the phone, there is no configurable option to change the color scheme on the Samsung Messager® Touch (SCH-R631).

You may search on your favorite search engine on your computer for compatible themes you may download on your phone. However, we do not support the use of 3rd party applications and services with any of our devices. For this reason, we do not have information compiled on possible resources.

You may also contact your network provider for the services and applications you may avail on your phone to download compatible themes.

You need to set the usb settings to mass storage
Setting this option to USB Mass Storage allows connection to a PC in order to transfer media files to and from the device.
1.From the standby screen, touch Menu
2.Touch Settings
3.Touch Phone Settings
4.Touch PC Connection
5.Touch USB
6.Connect the compatible USB data cable to both the handset's Power/Accessory Connector and to a USB port on the PC
7.The handset will now display "USB Mass Storage"
8.Open Windows Explorer
9.Drag n drop or copy & paste the MP3 files to the handset
10.Once finished disconnect the USB cable from both the handset & PC

Try following the steps below:

After hooking up your device to the computer, you will see the USB symbol in the "communicator line" (at the top of your display). Pull this down by touching and sliding it down. Select "USB connected", another window appears, select "Mount". You should now be able to view, move, access files on your phone and pc.

SCH-R631DWACRI Messenger Touch USB driver

My model # of my phone is: SCH-R631DWACRI, I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit, for the last couple of months my OS has been telling me that my USB driver is no longer supported by you guys, and my attempts at finding one on your online driver support also yields no results, hence I can no longer sync via USB with my computer. My phone isn't very old, so I'd think you'd have a USB driver available for me, do you? Thanks you.

How can I save photos from my samsung's messager touch SCH-R631 internet browser to the phone's memory?

I just bought a Samsung Messager Touch SCH-R631 for Cricket. It works great so far. However, when I browse through the internet (facebook, google images, etc) and try to save images to my phone, it simply says "Not Saved" or it says it's downloading the image, gives me the option to save it to my images or to set it as a wallpaper, but either option does nothing. It SAYS it has been saved or set as my wallpaper, but when I go look in my images folder or my SD card, nothing I saved is there. What is the problem? please help!
