Hi there!

Here are the steps on how you can delete a contact.

1. From the standby screen, touch Contacts.
2. Touch Contact List.
3. Touch the Trash Can icon.
4. Touch each Contact to delete populating the checkbox with a check mark.
5. Touch Done to delete the Contact.

Note: Once you delete a contact from your Address Book, it will be permanently deleted.

Question

when i turn on my cell phone and the blue line goes across the screen... it just continues to do that over and over

untill the battery runs down. it wont actually open to get any numbers off it or any thing... what can i do? what might be the problem? its only two or three months old? can u help?

You can go to your service provider so they can check on the phone and they can try reflashing the phone.

You may also call Samsung Customer Support, so we can do minimal troubleshooting to your phone. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).

Pictures and videos can be transferred to a PC by via a compatible USB data cable, sending a picture message or video message to an e-mail address, copying pictures or videos to a memory card or sending a picture or video via the Bluetooth FTP (File Transfer Profile).

The internet setting of the phone was set on a mobile setting that was already configured on the phone itself. However the phone is capable of zooming while you’re on the camera application.

Hi AmbertlLynn!

You can clear your phone cache, history and cookies by going to the Browser Settings.

From the Home screen, press then touch Web Settings.

Clear cache

You can clear the information stored in the cache, (the phone’s temporary memory) which stores the most recently accessed web pages.

At the Clear cache? prompt, touch the Yes soft key to confirm the deletion or touch No to cancel.

Delete cookies

Cookies identify who you are when you visit favorite web sites; however, they are also used to track your web surfing habits. Deleting all the cookies provides security.

1. Touch Delete cookies.
2. At the Delete cookies? prompt, touch Yes to delete, or touch No to cancel

Cookie Options

This option allows you to Accept all cookies, Reject all cookies, or Prompt you when a site wants to deposit a cookie.

Delete History

This option allows you to delete the URLs to the most recently visited web sites.

1. Touch Delete History.
2. At the Delete history? prompt, touch Yes to delete, or touch No to cancel.

how do i transfer pics from sd card to the sch r631?

On the samsung sch r 631 phone, i dont see a menu icon after touching the pic icon and cannot move or transfer pics, please help. I have followed the instructions to this point, and cannot transfer using usb either.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding about concern, here are the steps on how you can transfer pictures saved on the SCH-R631 handset to the microSD memory card and to the computer.

To Transfer Pictures to the microSD memory card, ensure that a memory card has been inserted properly into the memory card slot before proceeding.
1. From the home screen, touch Menu.
2. Touch Multimedia.
3. Touch Pictures or Videos.
4. Touch the Menu icon.
5. Touch Move or Copy, and then choose To Card.
6. Select more than one by touching the picture, or select Mark All.
7. Touch Done when finished.

If the microSD memory card came from another phone and you could not saved any files on it. Try to format the microSD memory card using your phone so that the phone will recognize the microSD memory card inserted in it.

To format microSD memory card using the SCH-R631 handset:
1. Insert a microSD memory card into the memory card slot.
2. From the standby screen, touch Menu.
3. Touch Settings.
4. Touch Memory Manager.
5. Touch Card Memory.
6. Touch Format Card.
7. Touch Yes to confirm formatting the microSD memory card.
Note: This action will erase the SD card in the phone. You will lose all data on the card.

To transfer pictures saved on the microSD memory card inserted on the SCH-R631 handset to the computer:

1. From the standby screen, touch Menu.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Phone Settings.
4. Touch PC Connection.
5. Touch USB.
6. Return to the main display.
7. Connect one end of the supported data cable into the device's USB port and the other end into an available USB port on a Windows PC.
8. If prompted on the PC, select "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" from the Removable Disk pop-up. If not prompted, on the PC open My Computer and select the Removable Disk drive letter that was assigned to the device.
9. Drag and drop (copy & paste) picture and video files between the device and the PC. It is recommended that separate folders for different media types be created on the memory card for better organization.

Tip:
1. Make sure that the Bluetooth is deactivated on the phone.
2. If you still could not connect the phone to the computer. Try to turn off you phone or connect the USB cable to another USB port on your computer.

The MMS or Sending Picture Message using the phone is a network dependent feature. This issue is best help by contacting your Service Provider to properly configure the message center on the phone and to check with them the requirements for them to allow you sending a picture message.

Hi there,

You assign pictures on your contacts as picture ID at the size from 1600x1200,
1280x960, 640x480, or 320x240. It will automatically convert the picture to be fit on the contacts ID.
