Can I not get any kid of games for this phone??

This phone seems really great and I love it, but I hate the fact that I can't get any apps or GAMES!!! Even the simplest of phone usually at least come with a game?? Why would you ruin such a great phone by not making it compatible for apps or any additional content?? Does Samsung offer any apps or additional widgets, games or ANYTHING?

On my phone it has the brew application. Search for any games you may want, but it will cost money monthly to your service provider.

go to your menu, and go to Settings, then swipe left until you come to Tools, then just go down until you find the sketch pad.

im having the same problem my sketch pad, shortcut to app is no longer there. the only way i can find it is to do a apps search for sketch pad. i know the shortcut was there but now its gone. still trying to get tech support to help me on this one. reset does nothing to help

There are two (2) ways to update software on the phone, it's either updating it through Samsung website or coming from the Service Provider. Right now there's no available update on Samsung website and with the Service Provider, you can just please contact and check it with them.

Right now there's no available update on Samsung website and with the Service Provider, I believe there's none as well since Samsung is always posted with new updates however you can always contact and check it with them.

Hi!

The phone does not have the configurable options to block a number from calling but you may contact your service provider for blocking a number to contact your own number.

You can add annoying repeat callers as a contact, and then select "no ring" for the contact, and pretty soon they will stop calling. it's Not a Block, but it's the next best thing.

Hello!

You don't need a software to transfer pictures between your phone and your computer. The easiest way to transfer files is via Memory Card.

To copy or move images to a microSD memory card follow the steps below:

Open the memory card socket cover, located on the upper right side of the handset
Insert a microSD memory card, into the memory card socket, until locked in place
Close the memory card socket cover

From the home screen, touch Menu
Touch Multimedia
Touch Pictures
Touch the Menu icon
Touch Move and Select To Card
Select more than one by touching the picture, or select Mark All
Touch Done when finished

To copy videos to a microSD memory card follow the steps below:

Open the memory card socket cover, located on the upper right side of the handset
Insert a microSD memory card, into the memory card socket, until locked in place
Close the memory card socket cover

From the home screen, touch Menu
Touch Multimedia
Touch Videos
Touch the Menu icon
Touch Move and Select To Card
Select more than one by touching the video, or select Mark All
Touch Done when finished

Then you c an insert the memory card in your PC port using a card adapter and a card reader. Open the driver and drag the files to/ from your computer.

There is no available software that will allow the connection of the phone to the computer.

Pictures can be transferred to a computer by via a compatible USB data cable and a memory card inserted at the phone.

From the standby screen, touch Menu
Touch Settings
Touch Phone Settings
Touch PC Connection
Touch USB
Exit to standby screen and attach USB Cable
Drag and drop or cut and past the files from the phone to the PC

On our end, there are no configurable options to extend the character limit on your text messages. However, you may try to contact your Service Provider if they can enhance the message service on the text messages on the handset since text message is a network dependent feature.

there is one thing you can try... send the message as a picture message it normally on most phones will let you send up to 1000 characters then instead of 150

Question

how do i get my phone out of usb download mode?

i was in the middle of texting and my phone popped up a black screen with usb download mode on it. it also says bootblock version:ver cricket_r631:DG26.5. i have taken the battery out, tried to reset it and nothing is happening. it wont do anything else. how do i fix this??

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that your phone is showing USB download mode and you already tried to do a soft reset and Factory reset and its still not working. We're sorry to hear what happened.

Most issues like this may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the handset, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

At your earliest convenience, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 , between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Our repair facility will have the phone roughly 5-7 business days. Some dealer locations may offer a loaner phone program while your handset is in repair. While Samsung cannot control the availability of these products or programs in your area, please contact your local provider or dealer if you are in need of a phone, to find out if they are a participating member of this program. If you have any questions regarding this process, please ask the Service Representative at the time of your call.

Additionally, if your device is in warranty or you have insurance through your service provider, some providers do offer a replacement policy on phones which need servicing. In some cases, they may send out a replacement phone and the phone that you are having issues with will be sent back to them in return. How to download and install online apps

I would like to download an install some apps from online, but I don't know how to do this when the apps are not from my wireless carrier. Does anyone know how to do this, including by downloading to and accessing the files from the micro sd card?

There is a weblink on your phone and it should allow you to get on and if it doesn't go into your nearest service provder location and have them check it out!!! That's your best bet!

Yes, the micro SD memory card should be formatted first on the phone to be able to recognize it. The phone supports an optional microSD™ and microSDHC™ cards up to 16 GB.

To format the microSD memory card are as follows :

Insert a microSD memory card into the memory card slot
From the standby screen, touch Menu
Touch Settings
Touch Memory Manager
Touch Card Memory
Touch Format Card
Touch Yes to confirm formatting the microSD memory card

The memory card icon is shown at the top of the display to know that it is being recognized by the phone.

Please try to do a soft reset by turning off the phone, then remove the battery and put it back in and power on the phone again.

If your personal banner is not showing up on your home screen maybe you need to set it again. I suggest you to delete first the existing personal banner that you created. And then perform a soft reset, wherein you turn off your phone, remove the battery & wait for a minute, place it back & thn turn on your phone again.Re-create your banner, save it properly & then turn off your phone again, no need to remove the battery & turn it on again. Try to observe what will happen, if the banner displays. And if still does the same thing, nothing is showing up.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

Here's how you can transfer media files from the computer to the phone.

Via USB Cable

1.From the standby screen, touch Menu
2.Touch Settings
3.Touch Phone Settings
4.Touch PC Connection
5.Touch USB
6.Exit to standby screen and attach USB Cable

7. Drag and drop or cut and past the files from the phone to the PC

Note: Make sure that the file format of the file and the size of the file that you will be transferring are supported by your phone.

Changing menu display or theme (Wallpaper / Screen Saver) :

From the standby screen, touch Menu
Touch Settings
Touch Display Settings
Touch Wallpaper
Touch the desired picture
Touch Set
Touch either Lock Screen or Home Screen
