Question

Can the samsung messager play back video files (not taken by the camcorder)

I tried copying Mpeg4, mpeg2, and Avi files, none except the mpeg 4 showed up in the videos folder, but when I tried to play it it says "not available." Can it not play back video files? Is there some other format I'm supposed to use? Or did it just glitch? Thanks is advance Deran

Thank you for your correspondence. While on the call, you will see a "speaker" icon together with the word "OFF". You may touch and hold the Speaker Icon and swipe it from right to left to turn ON the Speaker mode.

Is there a way to set animated pictures as a screensaver?

I would really love to know how to do this. I tried this:

pictures
click on the picture
options
set as

but it wouldn't let me because it said that graphics are not available? WHY??? please help!

My Touch Screen Suddenly stopped working what should I do?

My US Cellular Samsung Touch Messager's touch screen has not been working as of yesterday, there is nothing physically wrong with the phone. I am wondering if there is a way to reset it? Or if there is any reason this problem is happening. The phone still can make and receive calls, but I cannot access anything that requires use of the touch screen. I.E. Text Messages.

Please try doing a soft reset by turning off the phone, then remove the battery and put it back in and power on the phone again.

1. From the standby screen, touch Menu
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch Phone Settings
4. Touch PC Connection
5. Touch USB
6. Exit to standby screen and attach USB Cable
7. Drag and drop or cut and past the files from the phone to the PC

Regarding your concern, Samsung does not offer a program nor a software that would allow the phone to synchronize with Outlook. However, you may still check with your provider if they can offer you an option that would allow this functionality.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

It might be a possible software condition on the phone that is causing the error on the camera.

Try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again to reboot the handset.

If it didn't work, you may restore your phone back to factory settings.

To reset the handset and return all setup options to their factory default follow the steps below:

From the home screen, touch Menu
Ttouch Settings
Touch Phone Settings
Touch Security
Enter the Lock code and touch OK, default lock code is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number
Touch Reset Settings
Touch Yes to confirm resetting the handset to the factory default settings

Note: Resetting the handset will NOT delete user data.

How do I stay on the "inbox" menu after i send a text?

Once I respond to a text I am bumped out of the messages menu back to the main (blank) screen. I would like to return to the inbox file so I can easily continue to respond to texts.

Thank you for your correspondence. When you receive an incoming message, instead of opening it or making a right away response, you may try pressing the end call button to get back on the home screen and then got menu > messaging > and then inbox so that you can stay into this option.

Question

I have a "restricted number" that I cannot edit, so I removed it, and now cannot add it again.

I have a messager touch-don't know the model number, am travelling so I don't have my book- but the instructions for adding an "ICE" number were not there anyway, I just stumbled onto how to do that, and cannot remember. Now I have a contact who was an ICE #, deleted it, because I could not edit any of the fields, now I cannot add it back at all. It keeps saying "restricted number" yet it is not in my contacts at all. HELP!

There is a Video Player app built in. My videos show up in the Gallery also. Otherwise use "My Files" app to browse your SD for them. Most likely the are the wrong format for the Mez. I use mp4's mostly. "Handbrake" is a free media converter I use. Hope this helps!
