Regarding your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Messager® Touch Cell Phone (SCH-R630 and on the Samsung Eternity® II Touchscreen Cell Phone, there is no other configurable options available to transfer contacts aside from sending Name card via Bluetooth.

Thank you for your correspondence. You may try performing a soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. Question

Bluetooth issue

I have 2 SCH R630's on one of them if I use a Bluetooth headset, the internal earpiece won't work after the bluetooth is turned off until the phone is power cycled. The other R630 does not exhibit the same thing. I've checked the settings on both phones and they seem to be the same. Any ideas as to why the one unit won't function as needed after bluetooth disconnection?

If you intend to connect the SCH-R630 (Messager Touch) phone to the computer and transfer multimedia files, you can do so using a USB cable. Please follow the steps below.

1. From the standby screen, touch Menu.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Phone Settings.
4. Touch PC Connection.
5. Touch USB. This option automatically activates when you connect your phone to a computer with an optional USB Data Cable. It lets you access your phone’s memory and any optional microSD memory card, if installed, from your computer.
6. Exit to standby screen and attach USB Cable.
7. Drag and drop or cut and paste the files from the phone to the computer.

For you to pair the Samsung Messager® Touch Cell Phone (SCH-R630) with another Bluetooth device, please follow the steps below:

1. Place the Bluetooth device in discoverable mode.
2. From the standby screen, touch the Menu tab, located at the bottom.
3. Touch Bluetooth.
4. Touch Turn On, unless already on.
5. Touch Add New Device to begin Searching.
6. Touch the desired Bluetooth device.
7. If prompted, enter the PIN, using the keypad (Default is "0000" unless changed).
8. Touch Done to pair the Bluetooth devices.

Apparently, we do not have any available software or drivers that would enable you to connect the phone to the computer. However, you can set the phone to USB mode by going to Settings -> Phone Settings -> PC Connection -> USB. Please make sure that the memory card is properly inserted on the phone before connecting it to the computer.

Before connecting the phone to the computer, please try doing a soft reset by turning off the phone, then remove the battery and put it back in and power on the phone again. You may restart your computer as well. You may try to plug the cable into a different port available on the computer. You can also disable the firewall or antivirus programs on your computer before connecting the phone.

Should you need further assistance, please call our Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Question

My phone won't let me change music in my music player.

The first time I added ring tones to my phone it made them go to the music player as well. But it won't allow me to out songs in their anymore I have to manually go into my ring tones and choose them. How can I get more music in the Music Player?

Question

How to run videos from a micro SD card onto your Messager Touch?

I have a Messager Touch, R630, and have bought a micro SD memory card for it. I have been able to get my pictures and music from my memory card to run on the phone, but not my videos. I tried even converting them to MP4 format to see if that would help. It didn't. Do I need addition drivers for my phone to run video from the memory card?

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding your concern, your phone is a Windows supported phone and there are no available steps for you to be able to connect it to a Mac computer.

However, you may try using the listed steps below to connect but we cannot guarantee that it would work since these steps are for synchronizing your phone to a Windows supported computer.

Apparently, we do not have any available software or drivers that would enable you to connect the phone to the computer. However, pictures can be transferred to a computer via a compatible USB data cable, sending a picture message to an e-mail address, copying pictures or videos to a memory card or sending a picture or video via the Bluetooth FTP (File Transfer Profile).

USB Cable
1. From the standby screen, touch Menu.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Phone Settings.
4. Touch PC Connection.
5. Touch USB.
6. Exit to standby screen and attach USB Cable.
7. Drag and drop or cut and paste the files from the phone to the computer.

Is there a way to fix my lock button? It does not work properly

As of yesterday, when I try to lock my phone, it either doesn't work or it locks quickly then unlocks itself right away. The button seems very touchy and it seems that is broken. Is there any way that can be fixed?

Try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again to reboot the handset.

Apparently, we do not have any driver or software available for the purpose of transferring data between the Samsung Messager® Touch Cell Phone (SCH-R630) and a computer. If you are going to transfer media files from your phone to the computer, you may do mass storage so you could transfer them to the computer.

Regarding your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the SCH-R630 handset, there are no configurable options available to retrieve deleted messages. This is a mobile phone limitation.

Question

Messager R630; I am having difficulty with my touch screen not responding.

This only seems to be a problem in some menus. I cannot edit or add contacts. When attempting to edit a contact, my selection, such as name, will not open. Sometimes it flashes blue, but I can not open the field to make my entry. I have re-calibrated, hoping that would correct the problem, but it did not help. Any suggestions?

Is there any way to type umlauts on "a", "o" and "u"?

I see that there are symbols for "Ü" and "ü" in the symbols menu, but the German language requires the use of umlauts over "a" and "o" from time to time.

The best way to transfer contacts from the Messager Touch to the Samsung Eternity II is via bluetooth functionality. Please refer to the steps provided below for the process.
Pair the Samsung Messager to the Eternity II.
To pair with another Bluetooth device follow the steps below:

Place the Bluetooth device in discoverable mode
From the standby screen, touch the Menu tab, located at the bottom
Touch Bluetooth
Touch Turn On, unless already on
Touch Add New Device to begin Searching
Touch the desired Bluetooth device
If prompted, enter the PIN, using the keypad (Default is "0000" unless changed)

Thank you for your correspondence. There is no option on the phone to zoom in or zoom out for camera. However, you can change the resolution of the camera for clarity of the picture. You can follow the steps below.

From the home screen, press and hold the camera key, located on the right side, to activate the camera
Press the Resolution Icon
Touch the desired Camera Resolution from the following:
1600 x 1200
1280 x 960
640 x 480
320 x 240
