Hi there!

Here are the steps how to make a conference call or a 3-way call on the SCH-R560 (Messager) handset:

STEPS

1. While in standby mode, dial the number for the first party, then press SEND
2. When connected, ask them to remain on the line.
3. Press the SEND key to place them on hold.
4. Dial the second party’s phone number and press SEND.
5. When the second party answers, press SEND to connect all three parties.

Note: As the originator of the conference call, should you disconnect, the other two parties will also be disconnected. If one of the individuals should disconnect, you will still be connected to the other.

Note: For handsets which support more than 3 individuals on one call, repeat steps 1 through 5 until all parties are connected.

There is no software needed to transfer files from your computer to Samsung Messager II R-560 Cell Phone, it can be done Via USB Cable. A MicroUSB-Compatible Charger Cable (APCBU10BBE) can either be purchased online through Samsung website (http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/APCBU10BBEBSTD) or check it with your Service Provider if they have it available in their store.

The below are steps to transfer files Via USB Cable :

Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot

Note: Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

To insert a memory card follow the steps below:

Pull out and up the memory card slot cover to expose the memory card slot
Gently insert a microSD memory card, gold contacts up, into the memory card slot until it clicks
Caution: DO NOT force the card into the memory card slot, as this could damage the card and/or the handset
Replace the memory card slot cover
Note: The memory card icon is displayed at the top of the LCD when a memory card is inserted correctly

Caution: The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

Warning: Formatting a memory card will permanently delete all current content.

Note: To play MP3 files they MUST be stored in the My_Music folder in the memory card. The phone MUST format the memory card to create the neccessary destination folders.

To format a memory card follow the steps below:

Insert the memory card into the handset
From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
Select Settings
Select Memory Info
Select Card Memory
Select Format Card
Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm Formatting the Memory Card

Caution!: Do not repeatedly format a Memory Card as this shortens it's service life

Verify the handset PC Connection setting is set to USB Mass Storage.

From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
Select Settings
Select Phone Settings
Select PC Connection
Highlight either Mass Storage or No Connection
Press the OK button to save the USB Setting

Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
Either copy pictures from the phone's My_Images folder or from the PC destination
Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My_Images folder

If connection is unsuccessful, kindly try to check the following....

> Try using a different USB port (if using a desktop PC, please try to connect the USB data cable at the back port of the CPU)
> Restart the PC and soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again)
> Make sure that the USB cable is samsung genuine accessory
> Try using a different USB cable
> Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer"
> Disable / turn off the Bluetooth connectivity of the phone

The number that you're going to enter as the serial number for your phone would be the HEX number. You can find the HEX number of the phone at the back part of the handset underneath the battery. You can see there the HEX located on the top of the bar code. It usually starts with "A" and then 5 zero's as A00000XXXXXXX. It's a combination of letters and numbers. Enter this number on the registration page, on the serial number box, without spaces, dashes, or slashes. Hit the enter button on your keyboard after encoding this serial number.

Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry and we understand that you would like to know the meaning of heap check on camera and camcorder mode on your phone, SCH-R560.

Heap check mode is a debugging program or tool that looks for coding errors in the temporary buffers of your phone's memory.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

You may also try to free up your phone's memory by moving pictures and videos on your storage card.

You may use the link provided below for the steps on how to move pictures and videos from your phone to your storage card.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. Charges start at $65.00 and can increase, depending upon the nature and severity of the issue. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).

Thank you for choosing Samsung.

You MUST use a micro-SD card to initially store music, images, and ringtones. Once the micro-SD card is installed on the phone, folders are automatically created. You can then manage your files by connecting your phone to your computer with a USB cable. If your PC is so equipped, you can also insert the micro-SD card and managing your files the same way you would if using a flash drive.

After you save your music or pictures to the memory card, you can transfer them to your phone's memory -- just remember the phone doesn't have a lot of storage space available. You can also set a music file as a ringtone! Kind of cool.
