Hey, with the keyboard out, while typing a text, try pushing the left soft key a few times, I had the same problem, and that seemed to fix it. Hitting that key makes the phone cycle through it's character choices, and seems to make it act less like you're using the number pad. (I've only had this happen rarely, but it seems to be triggered by hitting the center silver button to reply or compose texts.)

Thank you for your inquiry. As I have checked here with my resources, your phone doesn’t come with a disk for you to be able to transfer pictures. You need to have a memory card inserted in your phone and copy the pictures from the phone’s memory to the memory card.

For more information, please check the link below.

If you’re still having issues transferring pictures, please feel free to call us here at Samsung Technical Support at 1-888-987-4357.

if you have a Micro SD card inserted make sure you have your pics & vids saved to it & then go into Menu> Settings> PC Connection & select USB Mass Storage. Your chargers wire should be able to disconnect for the base revealing a USB end plug that into your USB port the phone will ask you "Use mobile phone as mass storage device?" answer Yes then go to computer on your computer & select removable drive (mine shows as removable drive (f)) & it should bring up Images, Videos, Music, etc... click on which ever one then just cut or copy then paste. You could also remove the SD card put it in the adapter & slide it into your computers SD slot if it has one

Hi jimmyp7,

Thank you for inquiry. Regarding your concern, you may save the pictures you have received through a picture message simply tap and hold the picture and tap on the save option and you may use the listed steps below on how to transfer picture files from you phone to a computer.

If you wish to transfer media files, you may do mass storage so you could transfer them to the computer.(vice versa) For you to connect the phone to the computer, it would require you to have the memory card inside the phone and a data cable, once you already have the requirements, and then do the following:

If the microSD memory card came from another phone and you could not saved any files on it. Try to format the microSD memory card using your phone so that the phone will recognize the microSD memory card inserted in it.

For you to connect the phone to the computer, it would require you to have the memory card inside the phone and a data cable that is part of your standard box contents. Once you already have the requirements, then do the following steps:

NOTE: Ensure that the Memory Card is properly inserted into the device

MASS STORAGE

1. Select Menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Applications.
4. Select USB settings.
5. Select Mass storage even if already selected.
6. Press Home key to return to the home screen.

NOTE: Make sure that USB debugging is uncheck:

7. Select Menu.
8. Select Settings.
9. Select Applications.
10. Select Development.
11. Uncheck all three options ( USB debugging, Allow mock location, Stay Awake)
12. Connect the USB data cable to the device and a laptop or PC.
13. After the USB icon appears in the Notification Drawer, pull it down.
14. Select USB Connected.
15. Select Mount.

On the computer, navigate to the Removable Disk assigned to the device. This can be done through the automatic pop up screen or ‘My Computer.’

16. Drag and drop (copy and paste) files from other locations of your PC to this folder.

TIP: If this steps wont work, Try to check this stuff.
1. Try using a different USB port.
2. Restart the PC and soft reset the phone.
3. Make sure that the USB cable is samsung genuine accessory.
4. Try using a different USB cable.
5. Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer" .

You should be able to exit silent mode by holding down the # key. (it should have the symbol for silent mode (a vibrating phone) on it.) it takes 2-3 seconds, and could have easily gotten pushed against something as trivial as loose change or keys.

Good question. This option is under the sound settings, and plays a few notes when your call has connected, and also will play a few notes if your call gets dropped, or if the person on the other end hangs up.

Hi Harsha!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Apparently, we do not have any available software nor drivers that you would be needing for you to connect the phone to the computer.

If you are going to transfer media files from your Samsung Messager™ II Full Qwerty Cell Phone (SCH-R560) to the computer, you may do mass storage so you could transfer them to the computer. For you to connect the phone to the computer, it would require you to have the memory card inside the phone and a compatible USB data cable, once you already have the requirements, follow the procedures on the links below:

1. Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the computer.
2. If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC.

Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > PC Connection > Mass Storage > Save

3. From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
4. Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings).
5. Double click on the designated folder to view the contents.
6. Copy and paste or drag & drop the media files to the destination on the computer.
7. From the handset, press OK for Disconnect.
8. With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC.

Note: Make sure the Bluetooth is disabled and the phone is in idle mode.

If the notification does not show up on the phone or on the computer, try to turn off you phone or connect the USB cable to another USB port on your computer.

Should you desire additional assistance resolving this, we invite you to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry and we understand that you would like to know the meaning of heap check on camera and camcorder mode on your phone, SCH-R560.

Heap check mode is a debugging program or tool that looks for coding errors in the temporary buffers of your phone's memory.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

You may also try to free up your phone's memory by moving pictures and videos on your storage card.

You may use the link provided below for the steps on how to move pictures and videos from your phone to your storage card.

Hi, BillCFoster!

You can download picture files to your computer via mass storage using a USB cable. Here are the steps below that you can follow:

1. Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot

To format a memory card follow the steps below:

• Insert the memory card into the handset
• From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
• Select Settings (9)
• Select Memory Info (6)
• Select Card Memory (3)
• Select Format Card (7)
• Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm Formatting the Memory Card
Caution! Do not repeatedly format a Memory Card as this shortens it's service life

2. Verify the handset PC Connection setting is set to USB Mass Storage

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:

• From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
• Select Settings (9)
• Select Phone Settings (5)
• Select PC Connection (8)
• Highlight either Mass Storage or No Connection
• Press the OK button to save the USB Setting

3. Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
4. When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
5. Either copy pictures from the phone's My Images folder or from the PC destination
6. Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My Images folder

Thank you for your continued interest in Samsung products.

Sincerely,
Technical Support

Hello Fuji,

To place the handset in Silent Mode, press and hold down the pound key for about 2 seconds. The phone will show the Silent Mode icon in the top right corner of the display. To exit the Silent Mode, perform the same action to return to the previous audio setting. You will see a confirmation message displayed each time you enter or exit Silent Mode.

The SCH-R560 (Messager II) handset will vibrate rather than ring, if enabled, when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in Silent Mode.
