My Phone wont connect with computer. How do i fix this?

it only shows up sometimes when i plug it in the computer and then it tries to install the program for it and it never works i tried 3 times. please help

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the device with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

My phone has locked up twice. Is there a fix?

It locked up most recently when I received a text message. I reset the phone by removing the battery. I am looking for a permanent fix for this problem.

To exit Silent / Vibrate Mode, press & Hold down the pound key for about 2 seconds.

To place the handset in Silent / Vibrate Only mode,perform the same action while in Silent / Vibrate Only mode. You will see a confirmation message for Silent / Vibrate Only Mode, each time you enter or exit Silent / Vibrate mode.

The handset will vibrate rather than ring when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in Silent Vibrate Only mode.

Since the Samsung Messager phone has the Bluetooth A2DP profile or the Bluetooth Headset Profile, you can easily listen to your music player. However the Bluetooth device or headset that you will need to use is a Bluetooth Stereo Headset. It will not play if you are using a regular Bluetooth headset only. It should be a Bluetooth Stereo Headset.

how to change one of the shortcuts on front of phone to shortcut for voice dial

I am interested in making one of the shortcuts on front ofphone a shortcut to activate voice dial, I do alot of driving and i have had this feature set on my other phones , I do not want to have to go down the road trying to navigate a menu to voice dial that is worse than just trying to dial.....please help me in figuring out how to change shortcuts.

The silent mode has become activated, somehow, on the R451C and I cannot figure out how to turn it off so that the phone rings again.

I am concerned that this may be a product defect becausel all the 'fixes' from Straight Talk have failed to work.

To exit Silent / Vibrate Mode, press & Hold down the pound key for about 2 seconds.
If you need to enable Silent / Vibrate Mode, perform the same action and you will see a confirmation message ech time you enter or exit silent /vibrate mode.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can do to connect your phone
with your computer.

1. Reboot your computer by powering it off and unplugg the power cable and wait for atleast 30 minutes before powering on the computer again.

2. Use a different USB port.

3. Update the driver on your computer.

Here's how:

- Click on START.
- Click on RUN and type in "devmgmt.msc" and hit OK.
- The Device Manager box will appear. Highlight the red marked drivers from the Universal Serial Bus Controllers and right click then click on "Properties".
- Go to the "Driver" tab and press "UPDATE DRIVER".

Regarding your concern, you may set photos taken from you camera as wallpaper or screen saver on your Samsung Messager Touch phone.

To take a single picture using the current camera settings,please do the following:
1. In Standby mode, press the Camera key on the right side of the phone. The camera viewfinder screen appears in the display.
Note: You can also activate the Camera by pressing Menu, then selecting Multimedia > Camera.
2. If the Shooting Mode icon is not , tap Shooting Mode> Single.
3. Using the display as a viewfinder, point the camera at your subject.
4. When the subject that you wish to capture appears in the display, press the Camera key.
5. Press Set as to assign the photo as a Home screen wallpaper.

As i have checked, there is no configurable option to block incoming texts. You may call your Service Provider to check if they can block the phone number of the sales text message sender.
