Question

How do you get bluetooth in the SCH-R451 to automatically connect to a bluetooth headset

I paired my Plantronics 240 Explorer with the SCH-R451. However, with the bluetooth setting on, when I turn on the bluetooth headset, it does not connect automatically. I have to go into the bluetooth menu, select registered list, select the Plantronics device and answer yes to the prompt for connect. My previous cell phone did not require this manual intervention. I simply turned on the headset and the cellphone automatically connected. Is there a way to set up this same capability with the SCH-R451?

How do I backup my contacts

I purchased a piece of your equipment, a SCH-R451 which came with inadequate documentation, so I can not back up my contacts to either SDCard or Bluetooth to ny MacBook Pro (2q2011 model). Paying for documentation via your tech will indicate to me that Samsung will not be amongst my favorites nor

Question

How do I transfer music from my memory card to my phone?

I formatted the memory card, I then put it in my adapter. Then I put it in my computer, copied and pasted into my ringtone folder. It says it is there. I then put the memory card back into my phone, go to memory card, then to ringtones and nothing is there. I look at memory usage and it shows that the files are available, but nothing shows up.

The SCH-R451C handset has the capability to transfer MP3 files between a PC, via microSD™ memory card, using a compatible USB data cable. However, before any files can be transferred, the memory card must be formatted in order to create the accessible download folders (My_Music, My_Images, My_Ringtones, My_Sounds).

To transfer MP3 files directly between a PC and the handset's microSD memory card, via an USB cable, follow the steps below:

Remove the battery cover to expose the memory card slot
Insert a microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located on the same side as the volume keys, until it locks in place

Replace the battery cover
Connect one end of the USB cable to a USB port on the PC
Pull out and up the charger/accessory connector cover
Connect the other end of the cable to the handsets charger/accessory connector
When successfully connected the handset will show "Connected To PC" on the display
When the new Removable Disk box appears, double click on "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or open Windows Explorer manually
Navigate to the location of the MP3 file(s)
Copy the MP3 files to the Windows clipboard from the MP3 destination on the PC
Paste the MP3 files into the My_Ringtones or My_Music folder located on the microSD Memory Card
Remove the USB data cable from the handset and PC then replace the charger/accessory connector cover

For Ringtones and Media Player limitations, the codec of the audio file that the phone supports is MP3 which has a bit rate of 320kbps and up to 55MB only.

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding your concern, you may transfer your picture files from your phone to a computer (vice versa) using any of the methods we provided you.

Via USB Mass Storage

The TracFone SCH-R451C handset has the capability to transfer files between a PC, via microSD™ memory card, using a compatible USB data cable. However, before any file transfer the handset must first format the memory card in order to create the accessible download folders (My_Music, My_Images, My Ringtones, My_Sounds).

WARNING: DO NOT DISCONNECT USB DATA CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER

Important: Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This handset does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card

To transfer picture files directly between a PC and the handset's microSD memory card, via an USB cable, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the battery cover to expose the memory card slot.
2. Insert a microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located on the same side as the volume keys, until it locks in place
Caution: DO NOT force the card into the memory card slot, as this could damage the card and/or the handset.
3. Replace the battery cover
4. Connect one end of the USB cable to a USB port on the PC
5. Pull out and up the charger/accessory connector cover
6. Connect the other end of the cable to the handsets charger/accessory connector
7. When successfully connected the handset will show "Connected To PC" on the display

Via Memory Card

Note: To transfer picture files, via a memory card, to/from a PC requires having a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader.

To copy pictures to/from a PC, via memory card, follow the steps below:
1. Remove the battery cover to expose the memory card slot.

3. Replace the battery cover.
4. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.
5. Select Multimedia (6)
6. Select My Images (2)
7. Highlight the desired picture, using the navigation keys.
8. Press the right soft key for Options
9. Select either Copy (4) or Move (5)
10. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm moving or copying the picture to the memory card
11. Remove the battery cover to expose the memory card slot
12. Gently press in the memory card until it is partially ejected then carefully remove it from the memory card slot.
13. Replace the battery cover.
14. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor.
15. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader.
16. Connect the memory card reader to the PC’s USB port.
17. Copy desired picture files from the microSD memory card to the PC hard drive destination or vice versa.

problems using music player

according to the instructions there is a button that can be pushed to bring up the music player. When I push my button the camera comes on.
