Hi Jduncan78,
Thank you for your correspondence.
The SCH-R451C handset has the capability to transfer MP3 files between a computer, via microSD™ memory card. However, before any file transfer the handset must first format the memory card in order to create the accessible download folders (My_Music, My_Images, My Ringtones, My_Sounds).
Note: To transfer picture files, via a memory card, to/from a computer requires having a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader.
Important: Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card
To transfer MP3 files from a computer, via memory card, follow the steps below:
1. Insert a handset formatted microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor.
2. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader.
3. Insert the memory card reader into a USB port located on the computer.
4. Copy the MP3 files to the Windows clipboard from the MP3 destination on the computer.
5. Paste the MP3 files into the My_Music or My_Ringtones folder located on the microSD memory card.
6. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card adaptor & reader.
7. Pull out and up the battery cover to expose the memory card slot.
8. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located on the same side as the volume keys, until it locks in place
Caution: Do not force the card into the memory card slot, as this could damage the card and/or the handset.
9. Replace the battery cover.
10. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.
11. Select Multimedia (6).
12. Select Music Player (3).
13. From the Library screen, select All (1).
13. Highlight the desired MP3 file, using the navigation keys.
14. Press the left soft key to Play the MP3 file

Note: The Music Player does not necessarily support all features of a particular file format nor all the variations of those formats. The Music Player includes support for Digital rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play some purchased or subscription content. Copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.
To playback an MP3 file, located on the memory card, follow the steps below:
1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Multimedia (6).
3. Select Music Player (3).
4. Press the left soft key for Library.
5. From the Library screen, select All (1).
6. Highlight the desired MP3 file, using the navigation keys.
7. Press the left soft key to Play the MP3 file.
