Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry. To transfer pictures between the phone and a PC follow the steps below:

Note: You need to have a memory card inserted with your phone to use this mass storage options.

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
2. Select Settings
3. Select Phone Settings
4. Select PC Connection
5. Highlight either USB Mass Storage or No Connection
6. Press the OK button to save the USB Setting

To transfer pictures between the phone and a PC follow the steps below:

1. Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
2. Verify the handset PC Connection setting is set to USB Mass Storage
3. Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
4. When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
5. Either copy pictures from the phone's My_Images folder or from the PC destination to the clipboard
6. Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My_Images folder

Thank you for your inquiry.

The SCH-R355C handset features different kinds of locks. It includes Manual Lock, Auto Key Lock and Phone Lock. Kindly check the details below on how to use the different locks.

Manual Lock
To manually lock the handset's keys simply press and hold the space key. To unlock the keys press the left soft key for unlock then press the space key.

Auto Key Lock
To enable or disable the Auto Key Lock follow the steps below.

1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Settings (9).
3. Select Phone Settings (5).
4. Select Auto Key Lock (8).
5. Highlight either On or Off, using the navigation keys.
6. Press the OK button to Save the Auto Key Lock Setting.

Phone Lock
The handset's Phone Lock feature, when enabled, blocks all outgoing calls except those to 911. You can lock the phone manually, or set the phone to lock automatically when turned on. In Phone Lock mode, you can answer calls, but the phone must be unlocked to place calls (except to emergency numbers).

To enable, change or delete the phone lock follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press Menu.
2. Select Settings (9).
3. Select Phone Settings (5).
4. Select Security (3).
5. Enter the Lock Code (Default is last 4 digits of the cell phone number).
6. Select Lock Phone (1).
7. Highlight the desired Phone Lock setting, using the navigation keys, from the folllowing:
◦Lock- the phone locks immediately and stays locked until you enter the lock code.
◦Unlock- the phone remains unlocked.
◦On Power Up- the phone locks automatically the next time your phone is powered on and stays locked until you enter the lock code.
8. Press the OK button to save the Phone Lock setting.

how to copy contact list from phone to computer

my screen broke and i thought i could plug my phone into my computer and copy the contact list but my pc says i dont have the proper driver, but after exiting out of the message to search for a driver the phone isnt showing up at even though its plugged in. i unplugged it and plugged it back in but no pop up or anything. how do i get my contact list off the phone?

Thanks for your question! Samsung does not offer a Data Kit software package, for the purpose of transferring data such as contacts and text messages between the handset and a personal computer. You may inquire about verizon backup assistance for Your contacts from Your carrier. Here are the steps of how to transfer media files ( photos,videos, music) from the handset to your PC.

Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot

what do the envolopes mean next to the text messages in the outbox? For Example and envolope with an arrow in the upper right hand corner pointing up

Question

How do I connect my R355C to my PC using Samsung PCStudio?

Since PCStudio supports various model versions, I am looking for the correct version for my model as it is not connecting via the connection manager at this time. Apparently I may no have the correct version, as I have not be able to connect my PC to my phone using a USB cable and PCStudio. PCStudio Help directs me to check for the correct version at http://www.samsungmobile.com, but I have had no success. Your help is appreciated.

Try following the steps below:

After hooking up your device to the computer, you will see the USB symbol in the "communicator line" (at the top of your display). Pull this down by touching and sliding it down. Select "USB connected", another window appears, select "Mount". You should now be able to view, move, access files on your device and pc.

Are you referring to the PIN code of the SIM card inserted on the phone?
Please call your service provider regarding the issue of resetting the PIN code for your SIM card.
If this is in regards to the passcode to access the device, the default phone lock code of your phone is "0000" or "00000000".
