How do I store the voicemail password in the r355c?

My carrier uses speed dial 1 to dial voicemail but they are telling me I must enter the password manually. I don't understand why my password can't be added to the string stored in speed dial 1. Please advise.

Sent Text Message Icons?

When I send a text message, sometimes in the outbox it will have a check mark (which I assume means the message was successfully sent to the desired recipient), but other times it will have an arrow or an hour glass. What do those two icons mean? Was my message sent?

How to reset a SCH-R355C cell phone to factory new?

A year ago a friend bought a SCH-R355C cell phone from NET10 to use in his area. He tried with the help of NET10 customer support to get everything to work but eventually gave up and gave the phone to me. NET10 had him enter a a lot of different codes in "code entry mode" to change internal settings. Is there a code I can enter to reset all phone settings to factory defaults (like the phone just left the factory)? Thank you for your time and assistance.

On the r355C phone, how is it possible to have the backlight on the keypad during texting?

The light comes on during all other functions but when the keypad is locked and I receive a text, I can
reply without unlocking and the keypad backlight does not come on even during typing.

My husband has the Samsung R355C Querty phone I need to find out where he is sometimes I turned the Location(GPS) on how can I track this phone w/ PC?

I have read the manual and it says Nothing anbout it except it tells you HOW to turn the Location(GPS) on to where its on all the time or just when u need to make a 911 phonecall! I need to track this phone ASAP..like NOW, can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

Hi there,

The SCH-R355C handset has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) with a compatible USB data cable.

Insert a memory card into the memory card slot
From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
Select Settings (9)
Select Phone Settings (5)
Select PC Connection (7)
Highlight either USB Mass Storage or No Connection
Press the OK button to save the USB Setting
Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
Either copy pictures from the phone's My_Images folder or from the PC destination to the clipboard
Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My_Images folder

If connection is unsuccessful, kindly try to check the following....

> Try using a different USB port (if using a desktop PC, please try to connect the USB data cable at the back port of the CPU)
> Restart the PC and soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again)
> Make sure that the USB cable is samsung genuine accessory
> Try using a different USB cable
> Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer"
> Disable or turn off the bluetooth connection of the phone

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC
