Hi there!

The manual for the SCH-R355C can be downloaded from the Samsung website.

However, we are still updating our website due to the new phones and products released.

As soon as we're done with the website update all the manuals, software and support for this phone will be uploaded immediately for download.

Once it becomes available for download, you just need to enter the model code of the phone on the search box and it will give you the link on where to download the manual.

Hi TDWELCH1!

There's no way for us to locate the security code on the phone itself but for those CDMA phones, the last 4 digit of the phone would be the default code for the phone. If that one will not work, I highly suggest to contact your current service provider for them to give you the other info about the phone's security feature.

You've just pinpointed the biggest problem with this phone. Unbelievably for a business phone with QWERTY keyboard, there are NO fields for address information OR the ability to select what kind of number you are saving in contacts. For example, if you have more that one residence number to add, you are out of luck. You can ONLY add 1!

I encourage you to post a question on this forum to Samsung asking "When will Samsung do a firmware upgrade so that contacts can include address information and the ability to add multiple numbers for the same location?"

I know I am!

Peace,

There are two (2) reasons that could be causing the error message when you try to move the pictures to the 2GB sd card. It's either SD card memory is full or it could be defective. You can please try another SD card on the phone and check if it will work out and if it will then remove or delete some files on the 2 GB SD card so that you can move those pictures that you would like to.

If problem still persist, it is best to contact Samsung Technical Support Direct Hotline 1-888-987-4357 for further assistance.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. Charges start at $65.00 and can increase, depending upon the nature and severity of the issue. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).

Thank you for choosing Samsung.

Thank you for your inquiry.
To connect your phone to your computer, you don’t need driver for this. There is no downloadable driver for the SCH-r355 handset. If you are trying to connect your phone to your computer to transfer music files or picture, please see the steps below:
The SCH-R355C handset features different methods to transfer MP3 files to the handset, such as Bluetooth, micro SD memory card and download music or ringtones. And I have the methods on how it is done. Please see the procedures below:
To transfer MP3 files (via a memory card), from a PC, follow the steps below:
Insert the formatted memory card into the memory card adaptor
Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
Connect the memory card reader to the PC’s USB port
You will see a new Removable Disk drive appear, this would be the memory card, or open Windows Explorer
Copy the MP3 files then paste them in the memory card's My Music or My Ringtones folder
Insert the memory card into the SCH-R355C handset's memory card slot
Note: In order to set an MP3 file, located on a memory card, as a ringtone it MUST be located in the My Ringtones folder.
Using USB Data Cable & PC
Confirm the handset's PC Connection is set to USB mode
Insert the micro SD memory card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB cable to both the handset & the target PC
Once the USB connection has been established, the handset displays "Connected to PC" and the PC will show a pop-up removable disk box
Click on "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" then click OK or open it manually
Right click on Start then left click on Explore to open a second Windows Explorer window
Navigate to the location of the MP3 files then drag and drop them into either the My Music or My Ringtones folder Now it is safe to unplug the USB cable from both the PC & handset to begin playing the MP3 files
Via Bluetooth
On the Samsung handset
Turn Bluetooth On
Set the phone’s Bluetooth visibility to on
On the phone with MP3 files
While in standby mode, activate Bluetooth by turning it on
Search for new Bluetooth devices
Select the SCH-R355C phone
Exchange the PIN Codes on both devices to pair the phones (the default code is “0000”)
Browse for desired MP3 file(s)
Transfer data from phone to phone
On the Samsung handset
Accept exchanging data
For further details regarding this phone, we advise you to visit our website www.samsung.com to check for other specifications that you may enjoy with this phone.

The SCH-R355C handset has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) with a compatible USB data cable.

Important!: The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:

From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
Select Settings
Select Phone Settings
Select PC Connection
Highlight either USB Mass Storage or No Connection
Press the OK button to save the USB Setting
Exit to standby screen and attach USB Cable
Drag and drop or cut and paste the files from the phone to the PC

If connection is unsuccessful, pls try the following….

> Try using a different USB port (if using a desktop PC, please try to connect the USB data cable at the back port of the CPU)
> Restart the PC and soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again)
> Make sure that the USB cable is Samsung genuine accessory
> Try using a different USB cable
> Disable / turn off Bluetooth connectivity of the phone
