Hi, Samsung doesn’t provide software for you to access contacts, calendar, etc. through USB cable or Bluetooth and the phone doesn’t support syncing. However, you can send your contacts and calendars to a compatible device via bluetooth since your phone has an Object Push Profile (OPP is used for sending "objects" such as images, virtual business cards, or appointment details. It is called push because the transfers are always initiated by the sender (handset), not the receiver (server). The object formats are vcard, vmsg, vcal and vnote.)

You can either remove the micro SD card and copy mp3 files into the music folder on the card from your computer or you can purchase a USB cell phone data cable (cheap. similar to the one at this link http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Replacement-Charging-SPH-M330-SCH-R100/dp/B001XXUOQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1291436589&sr=8-1) to connect directly from the phone to the USB port on your computer and copy the songs over as if the phone were any other drive accessible from your computer.

USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a type of plug-in connection that is used to connect devices, including some handsets, to desktop or laptop PC's. In a handset, USB is useful for quickly transferring files to and from phones.

The SCH-R355C handset has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) with a compatible USB data cable.

Insert a memory card into the memory card slot
From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
Select Settings (9)
Select Phone Settings (5)
Select PC Connection (7)
Highlight either USB Mass Storage or No Connection
Press the OK button to save the USB Setting
Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
Either copy pictures from the phone's My_Images folder or from the PC destination to the clipboard
Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My_Images folder

If connection is unsuccessful, kindly try to check the following....

> Try using a different USB port (if using a desktop PC, please try to connect the USB data cable at the back port of the CPU)
> Restart the PC and soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again)
> Make sure that the USB cable is samsung genuine accessory
> Try using a different USB cable
> Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer"
> Disable or turn off the bluetooth connection of the phone

Hello there,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding to your concern about the 3 way calling or conference call, I have here the steps for you to use that feature o your handset. Just follow the steps below on how you can make a successful conference call or 3 way call.

To Make a Conference Call, between yourself and two other callers, on the handset follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, dial the number for the first party, then press SEND
2. When connected, ask them to remain on the line.
3. Press the SEND key to place them on hold.
4. Dial the second party’s phone number and press SEND.
5. When the second party answers, press SEND to connect all three parties.

Note: As the originator of the conference call, should you disconnect, the other two parties will also be disconnected. If one of the individuals should disconnect, you will still be connected to the other.

Note: For handsets which support more than 3 individuals on one call, repeat steps 1 through 5 until all parties are connected.

For more information on 3 Way Calling and Conference Calling see your service provider.

Question

Changing default Bluetooth passkey?

I was able to pair my R355 to my Vista computer via Bluetooth one time. When I first tried to pair the phone and computer, Vista came up with a passkey to enter into the phone to complete the pairing process. I entered the passkey, and the two devices paired successfully. Now, however, when I try to pair the computer and phone, Vista asks me to enter the passkey from the phone. I didn't write down the passkey Vista originally provided, so I don't know what passkey to enter. I tried "0000", but Vista returns a message saying the passkey is incorrect. I assume the passkey I originally entered into the phone the first time I paired the computer and phone is the passkey stored in the phone? Is there someway to reset the phone's passkey to 0000? I tried resetting the phone to default values, but that didn't allow me to pair the phone. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

We do not have any option to retrieve the previous password that you have set on your SCH-R355 handset.

If the default codes will not work, then you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot to unlock the phone in a timelier manner that we could through this forum.
