Most likely it is a simple fix. have you tried updating your roaming, dial *228 send. This does a-lot of small fixes to your phone. I have found that this will usually fix small errors like not sending or receiving messages, dropped calls, echoing calls, etc. If it doesn't fix it, well, it was a free call anyway so what do you have to lose?

Hi there!

The manual for the SCH-R355C can be downloaded from the Samsung website.

However, we are still updating our website due to the new phones and products released.

As soon as we're done with the website update all the manuals, software and support for this phone will be uploaded immediately for download.

Once it becomes available for download, you just need to enter the model code of the phone on the search box and it will give you the link on where to download the manual.

Yes, there's no option for you to transfer those messages to your computer or to save it to your sd card. But you can contact your current service provider if they can offer any sofware for this or if they can help you save those messages to their system as back up of those files.

Question

Why is my phone giving the prompt "no battery" when I plug it into the charger?

I've had my phone for less than a month, and when I went to charge it last night, the battery icon remained static and a message appeared on my screen "no battery". Ts that a problem with the charging terminal or with the battery itself? It's running low and I can't charge it.

You can go to your service provider so they can check the phone for you.

YOu can also call our Samsung Customer Support, so we can do minimal troubleshooting to your phone. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).

If you intend to transfer files between your SCH-R355 handset and your computer using a USB cable, then you would need to set your phone to mass storage and there should be a formatted memory card inserted on the device for it to be recognized by the PC. You won’t need software to install.

If you wish to continue, just follow the steps below:

1. Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
 From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
 Select Settings (9)
 Select Memory Info (6)
 Select Card Memory (3)
 Select Format Card (4)
 Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm Formatting the Memory Card

Caution! Do not repeatedly format a Memory Card as this shortens its service life

2. Verify the handset PC Connection setting is set to USB Mass Storage

 From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
 Select Settings (9)
 Select Phone Settings (5)
 Select PC Connection (7)
 Highlight either USB Mass Storage or No Connection
 Press the OK button to save the USB Setting

3. Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
4. When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
5. Either copy pictures from the phone's My_Images folder or from the PC destination to the clipboard
6. Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My_Images folder

Question

I bought two SCH-R355C Samsung Cell Phones. One works fine. The other has no volume no matter what we do.

On the phone that does not work, I have tried adjusting the volume; ensured that the ringer was turned on; ensured that "vibrate" was "not" on; we reprogrammed the phone (*22890); we reset the phone back to "factory settings" (under "Phone Settings") ...... the phone does not ring when we get a call, the ringer sounds do not sound, there is no volume when it tires to play MP3's, We "do", however get sound into a Samsung Bluetooth ear piece, and the buttons will "beep" when we press some of them. We just bought these phones and we don't care to return the one that does not work for a refund... but we would sure like to have them both in good working order to start. What do we do from here?

Question

Why does it turn itself off??

is it normal for this phone to power off totally after a period of non-use? If so, is there a way to adjust the settings for this so it doesn't happen. In addition, when it auto-powered off, I missed 4 calls and they were not recorded in the phone as missed. (the person just told me they had called me) Is the phone defective?

Most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. Charges start at $65.00 and can increase, depending upon the nature and severity of the issue. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).
