Manual Lock
To manually lock the handset's keys simply press and hold the space key. To unlock the keys press the left soft key for unlock then press the space key.

Auto Key Lock
To enable or disable the Auto Key Lock follow the steps below.

1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.

5. Highlight either On or Off, using the navigation keys.
6. Press the OK button to Save the Auto Key Lock Setting.

Hi annawisdom!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Those are one of the disadvantages of phones bought from a yard sale.

Unlocking the phone to use it for a different network requires permission from your current service provider as we hold a proprietary licensing agreement with them.

Contact the original service provider of the for assistance on how to unlock it using the unlock code they will provide.

Hi BaCoN,

We can do minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).

Tip: Just in case you need to contact us about your phone issue, we highly advise you to use a different handset, so that we could walk you through checking the phone while on a call.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this presents.Have a good day.

Use the Email app that comes stock on phone, most e mail will work great with the automatic set up. If you need to do a manual set up for accounts with certificate requirements or specific port requirements just google how to set up (the e mail you use) on a Samsung Fascinate, there is a walk through for almost every email out there, step by step.
