Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry.

I highly suggest to properly configure the USB setting of your Samsung Freeform for you to connect it with your computer properly.

To configure the handset's USB setting, please follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press Menu
2. Select Settings
3. Select Phone Settings
4. Select PC Connection
5. Highlight either USB Mass Storage or No Connection

After that, you may try again to connect the phone on your personal computer.

1. Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
2. Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
3. When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
4. Either copy pictures from the phone's My_Images folder or from the PC destination to the clipboard
5. Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My_Images folder

However, if the same problem happens, I suggest to turn off the security and firewall on your computer and reboot it. And try again connecting the phone with your pc.

Should you desire additional assistance regarding this, we invite you to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Hi there!

Thank you for sending an inquiry.

There are no drivers needed to be downloaded to your computer, if you want to transfer media files from the phone or vice versa. You can just try to update the driver in your computer by trying to launch the run command and type in devmgmt.msc. Click on OK until it launches your Device Manager. Look for any marked items under USB Controllers then right click your mouse until you get the option to update driver.

Provided here below is a link, to guide you on how to transfer media files to the phone from the computer or vice versa.

Should this become available, it will be posted on our website in the Samsung Download Center or you will be informed by your Service Provider.

Hi DJGlazer!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Does your phone have a memory card? It means that the memory of either your phone or your memory card or both are full.

Delete unwanted files or transfer important files like photos, videos, music files to your computer to have enough space in your phone memory/ memory card.

If you have deleted and transfer files but you are still getting the same error, you may do a reset on the phone and put it back to its default settings.

WARNING: Please create a back up of your files and contacts before doing a reset.

To reset the handset follow the steps below:

While in standby mode, press the OK button for Menu
Select Settings
Select Phone Settings
Select Security
Enter the lock code, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been changed
Select Reset Phone
Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm resetting the handset to the factory default settings

Note: After a few seconds the phone will power cycle. All settings (except Contacts) are reset to the factory default settings

Hope this helps.
