Thank you for your inquiry. You may also try doing the soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. If it's still not working and still doing the same thing, you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

Question

I need help troubleshooting.

I plugged my phone into the computer with a micro USB cable and it says the the device is not recognized. Do I need to install the drivers first? If so I lost the CD that had them and I cannot seem to find the drivers on the internet. Usually it's not such a big deal to find drivers for something but for the freeform they seem to be packed away on the internet.

Good Day!

Is your phone fully charge?
Have you tried using a different battery?
How long have you been experiencing this issue?

We can do minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communications technology capable of exchanging information over a distance of about 30 feet without requiring a physical connection.

The Bluetooth wireless technology settings menu provides the ability to view and change the device name, show the visibility, and set the security for the device.

To access and use the Bluetooth feature of the phone, do the following:

Accessing Bluetooth
1. At the Tools menu, select Bluetooth. The following submenus appear in the display:
• Registered List
• Bluetooth Settings
2. Select the desired Bluetooth sub-menu.

Bluetooth Settings
1. At the Bluetooth menu, select Bluetooth Settings. The following options appear in the display:
•Enable / Disable- Turns Bluetooth on or off.
•Discovery Mode- Lets other devices “see” (access) your device.
*Select On for other devices to see your device, or Off for no visibility.
•Device Name- Shows the handset name. You may change this name. Enter text changes and press to save them.
•Supported Profiles- Lists and explains the Bluetooth profiles supported by your phone.
•Device Info- Shows the Bluetooth Type, Status, and Address of your phone.

2. Select the desired option to perform the related process.

Note: The SCH-R350 phone supports the wireless headset, hands-free, dial-up networking, A2DP, Phonebook Access, serial port, file transfer profiles for Bluetooth® wireless technology. The SCH-R350 does not support all Bluetooth OBEX profiles.

Disc for downloading Pictures

I have a Samsung Freeform and when I purchased the phone it had a disc with it to install the program needed to download pictures from my phone to the computer. My last computer crashed and now I have lost the disc. How can I download pictures from my phone to my computer without it. I have tried without the disc but it doesn't work. I have over 200 important pics of my new grandson in another state on my phone and need to get them off. Someone please help. Thank you.

Thank you for your inquiry. Please follow the steps below for the complete instructions on how to transfer file from phone to computer or vice versa.

Note: To use this mass storage option you need to have a formatted memory card inserted into your phone.

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:

-From the standby screen, press Menu
-Select Settings
-Select Phone Settings
-Select PC Connection
-Highlight either USB Mass Storage or No Connection

To transfer pictures between the phone and a PC follow the steps below:

-Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
-Verify the handset PC Connection setting is set to USB Mass Storage
-Plug the USB data cable into both the phone and PC
-When the New Removable Disk appears on the PC display choose to "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
-Either copy pictures from the phone's My_Images folder or from the PC destination to the clipboard
-Paste the pictures into the PC destination or the phone's My_Images folder

Thank you for your inquiry. What kind of information are you trying to sync with your computer? The only files that you can back up into your computer is your pictures, videos and mp3 files. Rather than that, there are no configurable options to back it up on your computer.

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:
