While in call press the right soft key for Options and select Speaker On (7) to turn on the Speaker Phone, or Speaker Off (7) if it currently is turned on.

Warning: Due to higher volume levels, do not place the phone near your ear when using the speakerphone feature.

If you want to transfer Pictures or Videos Between My US Cellular SCH-R330 (Stride) Phone And My Computer, please refer to the steps provided below.

To transfer pictures, via Bluetooth, to another Bluetooth device follow the steps below:

1.Pair the US Cellular SCH-R330 (Stride) handset with the other Bluetooth device
2.From the standby screen, press the OK button for Menu
3.Select Multimedia
4.Select My Images (2)
5.Highlight the desired picture, using the navigation keys
6.Press the right soft key for Options
7.Select Send (1)
8.Select Via Bluetooth (2)
9.Press the left soft key for Done
10.With the Bluetooth device highlighted, press the OK button
11.Press the left soft key for Yes at the Connect To: prompt
12.Accept exchanging files on the other Bluetooth device

How do I backup my contacts?

I have a bluetooth connection which lets me upload/download ring tones and pictures, but it won't let me access my contacts. Does samsung provide software to backup the contacts? Can I back them up using MS Outlook Express? Is there 3rd party software that'll back them up?

I went to the Market Place and downloaded "My Phone explorer" its free. It will let you download all the data on your device and will let you edit it as well as update what ever you want to your device. Also remember to turn on your USB debugging feature. If this is not turned on you will not see your phone when you connect it up to a PC. the only thing that will show up is the memory card.... Be Blessed.

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Thank you for your inquiry. From the Home Screen go to Menu> Tools> Lock Phone. The Lock Phone option lets you Lock or Unlock your phone immediately or set your phone to lock itself On Power Up. Locking the r330 blocks all outgoing calls except those to 911 and to any other user-programmed emergency numbers. You can lock the phone manually, or set the phone to lock automatically when turned on. In Lock mode, you can answer calls, but you must unlock the phone to place calls (except to emergency numbers).

Important!: If after setting your phone to Lock itself On Power Up, you change the NAM Selection setting from NAM1 to NAM2, but there is no number programmed into NAM2, you won’t be able to access your phone. You must call your Wireless Provider’s Service Center to unlock your phone.

Change Lock: The Change Lock option lets you replace your phone’s default lock code (the last four digits of your phone number) with one of your own choosing. It is advisable to change the default lock code to a secret code for security purposes. When you select Change Lock, you will be prompted to enter the current lock code followed by entering your new lock code, and then re-entering it, for verification.

Note: Your phone does not allow you to view the lock code for obvious security reasons. If you change the lock code, be sure to write down or memorize the new code.
