i just got a samsung galaxy precedent, when i go under settings and tap volume my phone freezes and then says app is not responding force close??

How do you move apps from internal memory to the micro SD card?

I have followed the guidelines in the owners manual, however, I have not been able to move one app to the micro SD card. I recieve a screen whch says failed to move.

Question

What is up with my signal?

I just bought this phone (Android Galaxy model # SCH-M828C) a month ago. 2 days ago I started to have problems with the signal. It will be sitting on the countertop and I can watch the signal go from full to empty in a matter of seconds. It constantly does it, even as I'm speaking resulting in constant dropped calls and our phone conversations going in and out. I don't know what is going on. It's very aggravating, especially since I just bought this.

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Question

Samsung Precedent model SCH-M828C text received times one hour off.

I own a Samsung Precedent model SCH-M828C Straight Talk cellphone which I believe uses Sprint's network. At first, if I remember correctly, everything was OK then a couple of weeks ago my received text messages were time stamped exactly one hour into the future. For example if I send a message at 10 AM and the person responds to it immediately the received text's time stamp will be 11 AM. This bunches the texts I send at the top of the conversation and the texts I receive at the bottom rather than listing them in chronological order. I've tried manually setting the time, date and time zone, allowing the phone to automatically adjust it's time, date and time zone, neither of which made any difference. I also tried powering down the phone, removing the battery for several minutes and turning it back on. I then tried both manually and automatically setting the time, date and time zone but the problem persists. This is very annoying behavior. Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Your Device’s microSD Card and Adapter

Your phone is equipped with a preinstalled 2GB SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) memory card. It allows you to store images, videos, music, and voice data in your phone. Not all of the microSD card is registered in the available space, as a small percentage of the storage is unread. For example, a 16GB microSD card will show approximately 14.73GB of total space.

Note: Camera, Camcorder, and Music playback features require that you have a microSD memory card installed. Although yourphone comes with a pre-installed 2GB card, it can support SDHC cards of up to 32GB.
