Question

I have a SCH-I500, When in a call, the notification bar gets pulled down and the air plain mode is acctivated. This hangs up the call.

Can this be disabled or is there a fix coming out for this issue.

Please try doing a soft reset by turning off the phone, then remove the battery and put it back in and power on the phone again.

Hi Kayaking,

Thank you for your inquiry. You can export your contact list to an optional installed memory card, or import a list of contacts (previously exported) from a memory card before resetting you phone, please follow the steps below.

1. From the Home screen, touch Contacts.
2. Touch Menu ➔ More ➔ Export/Import.
3. Touch Import from SD card or Export to SD card, then follow the prompts to complete the operation.

You can also sync your Samsung Fascinate with Microsoft Outlook. Please just follow the steps below.

1. From Outlook on the PC, click on Contacts.
2. Then, click on FILE. From the drop down, select IMPORT and EXPORT.
3. The Import and Export Wizard box will appear. Select EXPORT TO A FILE, then click on NEXT.
4. Select COMMA SEPERATED VALUES, then click on NEXT.
5. Select CONTACTS, then click on NEXT.
6. Click on BROWSE. then click on NEXT.
7. Locate and select the saved contact files, then click on OK.
8. Once the file has been browsed and selected, click NEXT.
9. Check "Export 'Contacts' from folder:_______ then click on FINISH.
10. Sign-in to the g-mail account associated with the device on the PC, then click on CONTACTS.
11. From CONTACTS, click on MORE ACTIONS and select IMPORT from the drop down.
12. The IMPORT CONTACTS box should appear. Click on the BROWSE button under "Please select a CSV or vCard file to upload:".
13. Locate and select the saved contacts file, then click on OPEN.
14. Once contacts are selected, choose "MY CONTACTS" from the "Also add these imported contacts to" drop down then click on IMPORT.
15. A confirmation box stating that the import was successful will appear. Just click on OK on this box.

Question

How can I delete my MSN POP3 e-mail account from my Fascinate (SCH1500)?

I've tried everything I can think of. The only option is to add an account-no deleting. Did it when I first got the phone (which is the best smartphone I've ever had) and now I need to remove it. It's driving me a little nuts.

Thank you for your correspondence. You may try the steps below for deleting e-mail accounts.

From the Home Screen tap on Menu
Tap Settings
Tap Accounts and sync
Under Manage Account Tap and Hold the desired e-mail accounts to pop up the remove option
And then tap remove to delete the account

If the steps won't work on the phone, you may try doing the soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. If it's still doing the same thing, you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

It is possible that your MMS settings or Multi Media Services settings is been change, or the nearest network service provider’s tower on your location is updating their system. You may contact your service provider which is Verizon for further assistance of checking the status of the towers on your location or getting the correct settings of your MMS. The ambient light sensor will report to the handset the amount of light that is near the sensor, it utilized for automatic backlight brightness of the screen so it will stay bright and good to your eyes even under the sun.

The proximity sensor allows the handset to perform certain functions based on objects detected near, allows the handset to disable the touch screen while on a call to prevent unintentional activation of on screen options during a call or prevents an accidental drop call

Thank you for your correspondence. There is no front camera on the phone, the look alike LENS that you see on the upper part of the phone is a proximity sensor/ambient light sensor of the phone.

When I connect my Samsung Fascinate to my Macbook, my macbook now says its an unreadable disk. Is there a way to fix this?

I would like to transfer my pictures and music to my Macbook. I did it before on the same computer with the same phone. I don't understand why it will not read it now.

On the phone, please check the email notification settings. All you need to do is click on Menu while on Email then select Account Settings then scroll down to Notification Settings. Select the option for "Silent".

Why is it taking you too long to update my phone with froyo? where is the support I thought I was going to get when buying my phone?
