Question

Will the Continuum ever get an OS update?

The Continuum is a good phone but still buggy. It seemed to have been forgotten in the line of OS updates compared to phones like the Fascinate. Atleast 2.2 with flash would be a great improvement.

How do I get a FONT option under Display Settings?I

I have been trying to get new fonts and I downloaded the Font for Galaxy and it kept telling me to look under display>font but I don't have that option? Is there a way to get that through my phone?

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Hello-

Thank you for the inquiry. To set the volume level for incoming call and notification ringtones. Follow the steps below.

1. From the Home screen, touch Menu ➔ Settings ➔Sound & display ➔ Ringer volume.
2. Touch and drag the slider to set Incoming call volume.
3. Touch and drag the slider to set Notification volume.
4. Touch OK to save your setting.

Android 2.1 update 1 is the only software version available on the Continuum thus far. From reading other websites, it seems as if the ticker screen causes too many problems with other android platforms. Hopefully they'll fix this soon, though, as Android 2.1.1 seems incredibly buggy to me.

Why can I not receive RSS feeds anymore?

I have had issues with RSS feeds since I updated the software on my phone. Sometimes it will be days before I receive any feeds. Currently I haven't received any since August 1st. The ticker was the main reason I purchased this phone and am very disappointed that I am unable to use this feature.

Question

Can't modify email settings

This is a Galaxy S on Verizon. I am not able to modify my email account settings such as the incoming and outgoing server settings. I can get to the account settings menu but the only things i can modify are things like limits, signatures and folders. No option is provided to change the more technical settings. I cannot even delete the account so i can reenter it from scratch. For some reason I can no longer send mail and this problem is preventing me from checking my outgoing server setting. Thoughts?

Please try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again to reboot the handset.

Removing Account:

Press the Home Key
Press the Menu Key and tap on Settings
Tap on Accounts and sync
Tap on the Coporate account
Tap on the account and then tap Remove account after acknowledging the warning.

Please soft reset both bluetooth devices first meaning turning the phone off then remove the battery from it for about a minute then put it back in and turn on again. Then turn on both devices bluetooth connection.

To Turn on Bluetooth :

Press the Home Key
Press the Menu Key
Tap on Settings
Tap on Wireless and Network
Tap on Bluetooth settings
Tap on Bluetooth to turn on the radio

Note: The Bluetooth radio, when turned on, will display as the icon is seen in the status bar. To disable the Bluetooth radio, tap Bluetooth once more.

To change Bluetooth visibility options :

Press the Home Key
Press the Menu Key
Tap on Settings
Tap on Wireless and Network
Tap on Bluetooth settings

Note: The Bluetooth radio must be turned on in order to scan for nearby device. If the icon is seen in the status bar, skip step 6.

Tap on Bluetooth to turn on the radio
Tap on Discoverable

Note: To help increase security, the phone will have a 120 second time limit on discovery. If you are unable to establish connection within the time frame, simply tap Discoverable again to turn it on.

If pairing is unsuccessful, please delete or remove the previous bluetooth devices that have been paired on both handsets then pair it once again.

In order to remove a paired Bluetooth device, follow the steps below:

1. Press the Home Key
2. Press the Menu Key
3. Tap on Settings
4. Tap on Wireless and Network
5. Tap on Bluetooth settings

Note: The Bluetooth radio must be turned on. If the icon is seen in the status bar, skip step 6.

6. Tap on Bluetooth to turn on the radio
7. Tap and hold on the desire device
8. Tap Disconnect and unpair

Note: The device should be disconnected and the pair broken on the device.

the phone has been out a couple years and now the 2.3 update is avalible will i get 2.2 for it.

How can I delete pictures from the Gallery?

I have tried to delete photos and the 'delete' option does not come up. I only get share and more info when tapping the photo or set of photos. Why is delete not showing up?

To delete a phone from the Gallery, open the photo, then tap the Menu soft key. This will give the option to delete the image.
