You need to speak with your cell phone service provider, unless you have block the outgoing messaging option. But, pretty much, I think is your providers service, whose not responding correctly.

The device locked itself and I have not assigned a password. How do I unlock it?
I am unable to unlock my phone. I was given a replacement phone last week for a previous one that had malfunctioned in its operating software. I was not given a box or any paperwork and was not told of any passwords. I had to change the battery and the device locked itself and is requesting that I enter a password to unlock it. I did not assign a password and was not given a password by the store and know of no way to unlock it now and am unable to reset or use the phone at all. Can you help me? I have looked all through the manual online and cannot find any instructions to by pass this request for password to unlock.

Good question.
Should you need to clear your storage for you to give space on the new pictures and videos that you would need to take, you may try the following steps:
Click on Start Select Contents Manager Select My Pictures/ My Videos Select Option Choose Delete
Go to File Manager, Windows, Messaging, click in each box and delete them. It will then let you take more pictures.

There are three ways you can change it easily. The first is the easiest, simply press your volume keys on the side of your phone in the up directions. The second is to go to your settings app, then to sound setting and un-highlight the silent mode. The third is to pull down the menu from the top of you home screen. There you will find a Silent button that you can highlight or not. I hope this helps. If none of these help, you made need to have your phone serviced or reset.

Well, If you have your pictures stored in your phone , you should try going to your phone's memory. Click on "images" or "pictures" whatever you see , and on the bottom you should see something that says options , click on that and click on " Move ". Once you do that , it may say " move to card " , click on that ... and wallaah. Your images are now on your SD memory card . Or if that doesn't help , you should try sending Samsung a chat . That's what I usually do , I don't have my phone with me right now, but I hope that helped =] && it looks like your on two different topics here, but if I read your question right , I believe you said, that your trying to connect your USB to your computer and it's saying not connected ? If that was right, I'd be glad to help you on that just let me know, incase I didn't make a mistake .Your welcome , Keke .

Thanks for your question!
Regarding your concern, for you to transfer information between the Samsung Code™ Full Qwerty Smartphone (SCH-I220) and a computer, you need to download and install the driver compatible with your computer which is the ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center, and a compatible USB data cable.
To transfer data using Active Sync, please follow the steps below: 1. Use the USB cable to connect both the handset & the target PC. When an active connection has been established, the Smartphone Sync Setup wizard will pop up on your PC's display. 2. Click Next to setup a sync relationship between the SCH-I220 & PC. 3. Enter a Name for your PC then click Next. 4. Click to check the desired sync option boxes (Do Not check Media box). 5. Click on Next then click on Finish to complete the Smartphone Sync Setup wizard. 6. Once the USB connection has been established, Microsoft ActiveSync displays "Connected". 7. Press the Explore button, on the ActiveSync toolbar, to open the handset's file directory. 8. Now you can copy files, Drag n Drop or Copy & Paste, from the PC to the handset, or vice versa.
If you need additional assistance or information, please just write us again on this forum or you can also try calling Samsung Customer Support at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, CST.
