Question

refurbished wb210 will not charge

I just purchase a refurbished ec-wb210 point-and-shot camera and it will not charge. I plug in the cable and the charging indicator light will cycle through the colors then go out. It does this when connected the power supply or USB port whether or not connected to the camera.
When plugged into the camera and computer, the camera is never recognized .

The problem does not seem to be the power supply, but I can't be sure if it is the camera itself or the cable. I suspect the cable since the charging indicator flashes the same pattern when plugged into the camera or when not plugged in, but I don't really have enough information to know for sure.
I did take some pictures with the residual power in the battery to test the camera and all else seems ok so far.
Any suggestions before I must return the camera.

The WB210's timer can be set up to take pictures after 10 seconds, 2 seconds, or on "Double" time, which takes one shot after 10 seconds then another 2 seconds later. The timer does not have the option of being set up to capture photos over an extended time sequence of every 15-30 seconds over the course of an hour.

Thanks for your question. The WB210 does not have wireless capability necessary for uploading photos directly to Facebook. To accomplish this you would first need to transfer the images to your computer that is connected to the internet. If you'd prefer to be able to upload them right from the camera, you may want to consider the SH100 with built in wifi.

Thanks for the question. Pictures can be transferred from the camera or memory card to your computer, but not in the other direction. Files saved on the memory card from the PC cannot be viewed on the camera.

check the botton of the camera. If you are using the number from the box it may be missing the last character of the Ser#. good luck

The USB cable should be able to insert far enough into the camera port to establish an effective connection so the battery can fully charge or image files can transfer to your computer.
