Although the PL20 camera does not officially support Macintosh through the Intelli-studio software, photos taken with our cameras can be easily uploaded into Macintosh-compatible software programs. Thanks for your interest!

Why does the camera say "Memory Full"

Brand new, right out of the box, took 2 pictures, & then the "Memory Full" kept popping up....have the photos on the smallest pixels possible.......can't use the brand new camera. Considering returning it for another brand.

Thank you for the question. The PL20 has an internal memory of approximately 9 MB, and can support SD memory cards in sizes up to 2GB guaranteed, or SDHC cards of up to 8GB guaranteed. It would not be unusual for the 9 MB internal storage to hold only a few pictures, and many people prefer to use memory cards to store, organize and transfer images among devices.

Thanks for the question. Samsung's Intelli-studio software is not compatible with the Mac OS, but you can transfer images to your Mac (OS 10.4 or later) by connecting the camera using the USB cable as a removable disk. For more information, please refer to page 71 of the user manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for easy reference.

To delete all files on the memory card:
1. Insert the memory card in the camera.
2. In Playback mode, press Menu.
3. Select File Options → Delete → All → Yes.

Thanks for the question. Setting the Photo Size to 1M and the Quality to Normal in your PL20 will come closest to your required settings in terms of file size, though it is still larger than 800x600. However, you can easily adjust the photo to 800x600 using the Intelli-studio editing software; choose the image you wish to adjust, then select Photo Edit > Change Size > Manual Input, then change the '1024 x 768' to '800 x 600', press Apply and save the edited photo.
