The features page did not indicate the monitor can be wall mounted. The stand that ships with the box is not a wall mount, so please do not try to use it in such a fasion.

You could look to see if someone makes a wall mount for the monitor, but I doubt it.

No. While the HDMI standard supports transmitting video and audio across the HDMI cable, the SA350 monitor does not support sound. You will need to use either a sound card or the built in audio on the motherboard (if the PC has it) and a pair of external speakers for sound.

Question

Why does the monitor not automatically see the HDMI connection?

Whenever I start up or wake my PC, the monitor displays that it is looking for an ANALOG signal and indicates "check the signal cable". I am using an HDMI cable and everything is connected correctly. I have to press the SOURCE button every time in order to get it to recognize the HDMI connection. Otherwise, this monitor is awesome.

Touch of color refers to the bezel and stand. It is not simply black, it has a red "touch of color" to it.

There is no download that is special to Windows 64 that supports multiscreen capabilities. It is built into WIndows XP, Vista, and 7, both 32 and 64 bit. However, your video card must support multiple monitors, and just having a VGA and DVI port does not garantee this. Also, if you are running tow SA350's, you will need to run the driver set up program for the monitor twice, once for the first screen, once for the second screen. (And make sure to select the second screen the second time through. See screen shot for what I'm talking about.#

If you doubt this can be done, I am currently running two S27A350H's on a Win7-64bit with a nVidia GeForce 560TI #1024 MB card#. I was also running them on the same PC using a nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX #768 MB card). Skyrim played beautifully on both cards with the monitors.

Question

how can I change the DPI from the native to a slightly larger size

I lke to play some games on the PC, however when I place them in full screen mode, they "window", they are designed to use a lower DPI rate.
So, how can I change the DPI while I'm playing these games I do so enjoy playing? I've contacted the game publisher and tried some things they have suggested #making sure disable scaling high DPI settings is checked# but that hasn't worked. Any suggestions from the monitor mfg? Thanks

You probably have your DVI cable connected to a DVI to VGA converter, and that plugged into the VGA port of the monitor. The VGA port is an Analog signal port. You don't need to run both cables. Turn off your computer. Unplug the VGA/DVI cable and make sure the HDMI cable is plugged in. Turn on the monitor first, and select digital(HDMI# or leave it on autoselect. Then turn on your computer. You may need to set up the monitor using Samsung's driver prorgam again, but make sure to select the SA350 Digital drivers. You should be good to go from there. #Just remember, no sound on these monitors, so you have to select a different sound option in your computer's control panel.)

Question

How do I remove the stand connector from the monitor?

I need to send the monitor in for service and was told to remove the stand. I got the stand base off quite easily (unscrewed it and used very slight force to pull it off), but the stand connector is firmly attached to the monitor. The user manual says, "Disassembly is in the reverse order of the assembly". Step 5 of the assembly shows pusing the assembled stand into the monitor, but I can't pull it back out. Is there a trick to this?

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

We have conferred with our resident monitor expert and he indicates that this monitor has a pressure-fit stand, so recommends you attempt removal of the stand as a two-person job (one to hold the monitor, one to remove the stand).

Question

There is a blue glow at the top and bottom when against black. What can I do to fix this?

The blue glow is only noticeable when gaming, and appears against darker backgrounds, but is most noticeable against black backgrounds. It is almost as though a blue sun is setting at the bottom, and top. The glow at the bottom is a bit thicker toward the middle, but is present along the entire bottom.

Settings:
GTX 470 SC Driver version 310.70
Magic Angle=Group View
Brightness=100
Magic Bright=Off
Contrast=100
Sharpness=60
Response Time=Faster
HDMI Black Level=Normal (Video Card connected via HDMI)
Colors all set at 50
PC/AV Mode=AV
Eco Saving=off

I haven't tinkered much with the settings because I like them the way they are, except for the blue glow of course. I haven't noticed this before, and the monitor is only 1 year old. I am hoping it is only the light reflecting back onto the monitor from the lip edges of the monitor case since the screen is recessed about 1/2 inch. If that is all it is, is there any way to reduce the glow besides turning down brightness?
