This sometimes happens to these monitors. All you need is a firmware update. Symptoms: -Monitors go to sleep as if they had no signal. -Can not select source. -Can not load menus. You can either do it yourself or enforce your warranty (assuming it is stil within the warranty period)
If you do send the monitor to get serviced, only send the monitor (no power supply, no base, no base stem)
Good luck! Questions? Message me.

Move the top towards you or away while holding the bottom down on the desktop. Mine was stiff so it took some effort and I thought I might have broken it at first....
The monitor only gives 1680x1050 resolution, should give 1980x1080

First put the monitor face down on a solid surface (so that the bezel touches the surface but the screen doesn't). Then unscrew the base via the screw in the center. This screw has a flip-up semicircle piece so that you're able to unscrew it without any tools.
Now you're left with just the column that snaps into the monitor. It actually just pulls straight out, but it's pretty tricky to do. Use one hand to hold the monitor and the other to pull the piece straight out. Don't bend or twist it; just make sure you are pulling in the direction it snapped it (which isn't quite parallel to the screen. Refer to the attached picture to see how it's held in.
When it unsnaps, it will release abruptly so if you're not careful about holding the monitor, it could go flying. :) Good luck.

FIRST QUESTION, DOES YOUR MONITOR HAVE BUILT IN SPEAKERS? IF SO THEN YOU NEED THE PROPER WIRING, HDMI WILL CARRY PICTURE AND SOUND, DVI ONLY CARRIES PICTURE AND YOU WILL NEED ADDITIONAL WIRING FOR AUDIO. THAT DEPENDS AGAIN ON YOUR SET UP AND WHAT MONITOR YOU HAVE. HOPE THIS HELPS BUT I NEED MORE INFO FROM YOUR END. GOOD LUCK

First, you need to set the resolution of the operating system from your PC to the native resolution of the monitor. (Usually when you're setting the resolution, it has the (recommended) bracket at the very top.
Then, go into the menu of your monitor and set the monitor to automatically adjust. Some monitors have "adjust" button right on the display itself, or some requires you to go into the menu

Question
How do I move my monitor from the right to the left of the computer?
When I set up my computer, I put my Samsung monitor to the right side of my laptop. Now I want to move it to the left, and I think I need to tell the computer that the monitor is on the left, so that the mouse works properly and goes to the proper monitor.

Right now it I have to move mouse up/off top or off the left or right to see DOCK, etc. It didn't used to be like this and I didn't change anything that I know of.

Monitor shows a moving box with "Check Signal Cable...Digital"? How do I fix this?
It is not accepting an analog signal now. I am using the supplied VGA cable plugged into the proper connectors, both ends. The new monitor worked fine until I turned the computer off last night, then turned it on this morning. Unplugging the monitor and rebooting the computer did not help. The only menu option available is to switch between "PC" and "AV". S23A300B

This is not shown anywhere in the documentation but you have hit the analog/digital button located at the bottom right of your monitor. I believe it is the second one from the right. Select that button and your monitor will go back to the analog signal.

Question
Using MagicTune on a dual monitor system
I am running Windows XP SP3 and have two new S23A300B monitors connected in a dual monitor arrangement. Everything works perfectly except that MagicTune won't work on the 2nd monitor the one on the right-hand). When I open MagicTune and drag its window to the 2nd monitor it says "This computer is not compatible with MagicTune" and it tells me to visit the download center. MagicTune works perfectly on the primary monitor (the one of the left). I have tried switching (in XP) which monitor is the primary, but I get the same error when I try to use MagicTune on the right-hand monitor. I have not tried switching the cables where they both plug into my video card. How can I get MagicTune to work on both monitors?

Question
What To do
The monitor (S23A300B) Worked fine for about 5 month, now it shows a black screen. I ran A Self Test and I saw the box in the top left corner of the monitor alternating between Analog and Digital. After a few seconds it displays “Check Signal Cable” DIGITAL but when I try to change to ANALOGO it remains black for a few seconds and then it displays “Check Signal Cable” DIGITAL again. When the D-sub cable is connected it remains black. I don’t have digital output so I cannot test it but I have tested all other things (Cable, Pc output, etc.).
