Thank you for contacting Samsung.
We have consulted with our resident monitor expert and he explains that this monitor's blue deco "touch of color" feature would turn on when the monitor is powered off and turn off when the monitor is powered on. He says it's a design feature built into the bezel and not an actual light.
Well, I have used this monitor for more than a week but I have never seen the blue deco glow when the power is off. Is there a way to test whether the blue deco is working?

Thank you for contacting Samsung.
We have conferred with our resident monitor expert and after some additional research, he indicates the issue is most likely broadcast-related due to a process called Macro-blocking, which is basically an effect that is caused by the various encryption schemes that cable providers use to fit all the channel information on the cable line.
I purchased this monitor about 15 days ago and noticed many faint grey lines towards the bottom of the screen. I'm wondering if this is a defect. These lines are spaced about 1 millimeter apart and fade gradually into the middle of the screen- the are most noticeable towards the bottom center of the screen. They are perfectly straight lines and very faint- at a quick glance they can't be seen but after spending time on the monitor I notice them very distinctly. They are only noticeable on a white background- which includes most webpages. I've tried connecting another computer to the monitor and I still see the lines. I have also tried adjusting my viewing angle but that has not helped. Are these lines inherent in the design of the monitor or do they represent a defect?

The display is offset about a quarter of an inch to the left...how do I center it?
The full screen display is offset just a bit to the left. So the left edge is cut off and there is a blank vertical space on the right side of the screen. I downloaded the driver with no change.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. We apologize for the delay in responding to your question.
If you look on the front of the monitor, there is an AUTO button. Press that twice and the monitor will auto adjust. If this does not fix the issue you're encountering, you will have to adjust the the monitor's H-Position via the monitor menus. Tap Menu on the monitor twice and use the down arrow to navigate down to Size & Position. Then tap the button between the up arrow and Auto to select the internal menu, navigate up to H-Position, use that selection button again and finally use the up and down arrows to make the image move left or right to your preferred setting. To save the setting, you only need to tap Menu several times until the on-screen menu has completely exited.
All the descriptions on the monitor buttons are included in the product manual if you need more guidance. You can access a digital copy of the manual via the link below. You will need to review the section labeled "3-4 Product Operating Buttons"
If you have any additional questions, we suggest your refer to your product manual or the product support page on our website, where you'll find a comprehensive troubleshooting guide, product support videos, FAQs and How-Tos, as well as manual & driver downloads.
The driver download offered is just for Windows 7 but I have Windows XP
My screen is distorted and I can't set the resolution to the optimum suggested.

Thank you for your question. You might need to switch from analog to digital or vice versa. Additionally, updating the display driver for the GPU should fix it. If not, he'll need to adjust the scaling and activate the correct resolution through advanced settings.
If you have a Twitter account, go here or to this URL: http://twitter.com/#!/samsungsupport Having a transaction number or model number and serial number handy ahead of time will be helpful.
If you have Facebook, go here to this URL: http://www.facebook.com/SamsungSupport Click on the "Support Form" button.
My cursor disappears off the right & left sides of the screen. The resolution is set at the recommeded setting and I have not changed anything in the settings.

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may have given you. The symptoms you describe suggest your system believes there are two monitors to the right and left of your center monitor for a grand total of three monitors. Look through the screen resolution settings to determine if your computer is showing three monitors. Then under the 'multiple displays' drop down, change the selection from 'extend these displays' to 'show desktop only on #', where # is the the screen that's in the center.
If this didn’t answer your question, please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, or if you want to come through a social media channel, we have a couple options for you:
