It's not unusual for the displayed temperature on your RS267LASH to blink if the doors have been left open or warm food has been placed inside, but the cooling system should adjust the internal temperature accordingly. If yours does not, then service will likely be required. For assistance locating an authorized service center in your area, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

Ice maker won't make whole cubes

I have an RS267LASH fridge. Ice maker won't make whole cubes although set on whole cubes. I noticed a similar question on the website. You recommended a certain temperature setting for the freezer. Mine is within that range. Still no whole cubes. Suggestions?

I'm not sure from your question whether the RS267LASH is dispensing only crushed ice, the cubes are breaking as they're harvested into the ice bucket, or the icemaker is not making full-size cubes.

Try pressing the Test button on the side of the icemaker to reset it and ensure the tray is filling with the correct amount of water to make whole cubes. Setting the freezer at the recommended -2°F to -4°F should ensure the cubes are not breaking as they harvest as a result of the temperature being set too low.

If the issue is with the dispenser and only crushed ice is being dispensed even when cubed is selected, it may require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your RS267LASH. While it is sometimes normal for the fridge or freezer temperature lights to blink, such as if the doors have been left open, if this is happening for no apparent reason then it may indicate a need for service. When you unplug the refrigerator, any error codes or other history is cleared from the refrigerator's memory, so Samsung does not recommend doing this unless advised to do so by an authorized technician. Codes such as the one that is currently displayed are part of the internal diagnostic system that can help guide a qualified technician to identify the cause of an issue and find a solution. To initiate the service process, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you.

It may be necessary to press the Test button for as long as 8 seconds to cause it to rotate to dump ice then fill with water. If pressing the button for an extended period does not cause it to rotate, it may require service. If you're having difficulty removing the old filter or installing a new one, try turning the water supply valve off to alleviate the pressure in the lines. Thank you for the question. Any instance of a product requiring repair can be assisted at the 800-SAMSUNG helpline. They would be able to confirm if there is additional assistance required inside, or outside the warranty for any product. We’re not aware of a recall on this particular model, but the Samsung service center would be happy to confirm that with you.
