It is not unusual to have some cubes break when they are dispensed into the bucket. The recommended freezer temperature is -2°F to -4°F. If your freezer is set at a colder temperature than is recommended, then raising the temperature may help resolve this issue. I would also suggest pressing the "Test/Reset" button on the bottom of the icemaker to ensure the appropriate amount of water is being used to fill the tray. Please refer to page 28 of the User Manual for assistance with this procedure. The User Manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for your convenience.

Question

Flow rate of water

It seems the flow rate of the water is very slow even though my water pressure is about 80 PSI. I have no problems with how fast the ice maker dispenses cubes, just how long it takes to get a glass of water. Would you please advise on how long it should take to fill a 16 oz glass with water?

At the recommended 20-125 psi water pressure, the RS267LASH should be able to fill a 16 oz. glass of water in approximately 30 seconds. If yours is not filling at that rate, I would suggest checking the water filter. If the filter is clogged or partially clogged, it will effect your flow rate.

Question

I'm having problems with a SR267LASH refrigerator. The temperature readout does not match a thermometer in the fridge.

At first things were freezing in the refrigerator now it is too warm. I change the temperature setting, but that does not work. I put a thermometer in the refrigerator. The thermometer reading is different than the readout on the door. Thermometer in freezer does not match the readout on the door either. Now the fridge readout says 38 and the thermometer reads 48. The freezer is set a 2 (readout = 2) but actual temp is 9. How can this be fixed and why the difference between the readout and the actual temperature.

Thank you for the question. It is not unusual for the digital temperature on the display to vary by up to 4 degrees compared to the actual temperature in the refrigerator or freezer, and it is very difficult to get an accurate temperature reading inside the compartments because:
- Hot air rises, and cold air falls. This can effect the shelf temperatures.
- Opening the door to read the thermometer allows cold air to escape, and warm air to enter causing an innaccurate temperature reading.
- Refrigeration thermometers are calibrated differently than regular household thermometers.

That said, if there is a significant difference in the temperature readings inside your refrigerator or freezer compared to the display (greater than + or - 4°F) - which in your case there appears to be - your refrigerator may require service. I'm sorry to hear your RS267LASH is having these issues. The usual troubleshooting for a frozen water line involves raising the refrigerator temperature. If your refrigerator temperature is already set higher than the recommended 38°F and the water line is frozen, or if the freezer is cooling properly but the refrigerator is not, your RS267LASH will require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I use this fridge as an spare in the garage. I went out yesterday and the digital display was blank except on small blinking digital line where a number should be. Thank you for the question. It is normal for a fan to run intermittently and to shut off when the door is opened; the fan is part of the cooling system. It is often possible to reduce the sound level by adjusting the position of the refrigerator and making sure it is properly leveled. If the sound continues to get louder or if it changes, I would suggest calling 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can help determine whether your refrigerator will require service.

Question

My refrigerator and freezer cool sometimes, and sometimes quit cooling.

For about a week the refrigerator wouldn't cool below 50 degrees, and the freezer was at 25 degrees. All of the sudden, it has started working at the temperatures it is set at. We have also noticed a noise when we open the refrigerator door. It is a fan type noise, and then it stops.

I'm not sure from your question whether the RS267LASH is dispensing only crushed ice, the cubes are breaking as they're harvested into the ice bucket, or the icemaker is not making full-size cubes.

Try pressing the Test button on the side of the icemaker to reset it and ensure the tray is filling with the correct amount of water to make whole cubes. Setting the freezer at the recommended -2°F to -4°F should ensure the cubes are not breaking as they harvest as a result of the temperature being set too low.

If the issue is with the dispenser and only crushed ice is being dispensed even when cubed is selected, it may require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.
