Thanks for the question. If your refrigerator is dispensing water properly and the icemaker is functioning when the test/reset button is pressed, then the lack of a water filter is probably not the issue. Before calling for service, please check the following:
- Is the icemaker turned off? To disable/enable the icemaker, press the Ice Type button for 3 seconds.
- Is the freezer cold enough? Samsung recommends setting the freezer temperature at -2°F.
- Is the freezer door sealing properly? Check the seal around the freezer to make sure the doors are fully closed and the seal is secure.
