We consulted with our resident home appliance expert who indicated the condition you describe is indicative of air in your water line. He said to make sure the water valve is turned on all the way/ We recommend you review the following support articles.

Question

How to Clean the Water Line

My water line for the water dispenser is no longer dispensing water. It seems to be fully corroded with hardwater buildup. How can this line be cleared and allow for water to flow freely again?
There may be a secondary factor, which would be that the spring arm that activates the water dispenser could be broken in the activator. How would this problem be addressed?

Question

Loud noise coming from water line

I changed my filter last night, and now there is a loud noise coming from the water line. I tried putting the old filter back in, but it's still making the same noise. The water still comes out at it's normal rate and it tastes fine, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

The noise you're hearing may be caused by air in the lines. Make sure the filter is installed correctly and locked in place, then try dispensing about 5-6 gallons of water to bleed the air. This should resolve the issue.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. If the refrigerator is beeping when the door is closed, it's possible the sensor wires under the hinge covers are not connected properly. You can check the connection by removing the hinge covers as instructed in the user manual; the manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website.

If the wires are securely connected and the beeping persists, service may be needed to diagnose the cause. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

When is the design flaw with the cooling system going to be fixed.

The fridge temperature range of current Samsung side by side models is 34°F to 46°F. The recommended setting is 38°F, or "3 bars" on the temperature control in the case of the RS263TD model. If you'd like to make it colder, press the Fridge button on the control panel so more bars are illuminated. The Power Cool option can also be used to help drop the temperature quickly if, for example, you've had the door open for a while or have added warm foods to the compartment.

Please keep in mind that it's not unusual for a household thermometer to vary by up to 4 degrees compared to the refrigerator's internal thermostat because:
- Hot air rises, and cold air falls. This can effect the shelf temperatures.
- Opening the door to read the thermometer allows cold air to escape and warm air to enter causing an inaccurate temperature reading.
- Refrigeration thermometers are calibrated differently than regular household thermometers.

Therefore, if your household thermometer is reading 38°F, it is actually within the 4°F variance of the coldest 34°F setting.
