Why does my ice tray get stuck

The ice tray gets stuck sometimes and fridge needs to be reset to make it turn back around. When I plug it in after 9 mins, a 3 is displayed on the firdge side.

The temperature of the freezer and the refrigerator can rise from frequent door openings and from warm food being placed inside. This may cause the digital display to blink; the display should stop blinking when the compartments return to the set temperature. There are several possible reasons why your RS2556SH is no longer making ice. I would suggest checking to make sure the temperature is still set below 0°F (-2°F is recommended); the water lines are connected and unkinked; the valves are turned on; and the Ice Off function has not been activated by pressing the Ice Type button. Try pressing the "Test/Reset" button on the bottom of the icemaker.

Question

Ice maker is slow to make ice

The water dispenser works fine making me believe that water supply is not a problem. After dumping ice the tray seems to fill quickly and the temp is -4F. It just takes a long time to cycle. Can you help? Thanks, Dave.

Thank you for the question. If the water supply is at the appropriate pressure, the ice tray is filling with water, and the temperature is consistently low (and has been cold for a long enough period of time for ice to freeze), I would suggest using the Power Freeze feature on the control panel to speed up production. Please keep in mind that opening the freezer door and adding warmer items raises the temperature inside the compartment and can prolong the time it will take for ice to freeze.

Question

after i disconnect the fron panel cable to have a look in the back of ice dispenser solennoid and after i plug it back there is no display come on

Question

Why does The water dispenser no longer work.

I have verified that the ice maker produces ice cubes. Therefore the supply of water from the external water supply pipe is working.

There is a higher pitched noise now coming from the refridgerator periodically. It will last for several minutes and then relent while the compressor sound resumes as normal.

If the water is not dispensing but ice is still being produced, please check the water line connection to the door that runs under the front leg cover, as illustrated on page 18 of the User Manual. If you recently changed the water filter, you may need to bleed the air from the line by pressing the lever for an extended period. Once water starts coming out, dispense 5-6 gallons to bleed all the air from the lines.

Question

My RS2556SH side by side refrigerator's compressor is louder than normal and comes on more frequently. Does it need to be serviced or replaced?

Should it be making this much noise? I don't want it to break down completely. Currently it appears to be cooling properly but it is much noisier and also makes a clicking sound at the end of a cycle.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with the water dispenser on your RS2556SH. There are several factors that could effect the water dispenser's operation; please check the following:
- Is the supplied water pressure at the recommended 20-125 psi?
- Is the water valve turned on all the way and the water line free of bends or kinks that could obstruct the flow?
- Is the water filter cartridge installed correctly, with the lock indicator marks aligned? If the filter was recently replaced, try bleeding air from the lines.
- Check the water line connection behind the front leg cover (see page 23 of the User Manual).

After checking all of the above, if the water still will not dispense, it is possible that your filter is clogged or partially clogged. Try removing the filter temporarily to see if the water will dispense. It may be necessary to press the lever for an extended period to bleed air from the lines. If the water dispenses without a filter installed, you'll need to replace the cartridge with a new one. If water still won't dispense, your refrigerator may require service. If this is sounding even when the doors are fully closed, I would suggest checking the wiring harnesses located under the door hinge covers. Please refer to pages 21-22 of the User Manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for instructions on where to find and connect the wiring harnesses. While the handles on your RS2556SH may appear different on the outside from those shown in the online instructions, Samsung uses only two types of mounting systems on our side by side refrigerators. If your handles do not have a hole on the side for an allen key, then they can be removed by applying pressure from the bottom to pop it up out of the bracket, then pulled toward you once released from the bracket.

Question

My Fridge isn't cooling...Frezzer is just fine

I have my Fridge set to 34 degree's F. I recently noticed it is not cooling to that temp (I stuck a thermometer in it) but the display on the front does indicate it is at 34. I took the rear panel off and noticed the compressor was warm to the touch and had some sticky residue on it coming from the ball above it. What do I need to do to make my fridge work properly once again?
