The temp on the digital read out is 38 degrees, however the inside temp in the refrigerator is 58 degrees. What should I look for as the problem?

If the refrigerator was just connected recently and had been at room temperature, then it may take up to 24 hours to reach the set temperature of 38°F. If the refrigerator had been working properly but has stopped cooling, it may require service. samsung rs25555sl doesn't get cold, if i unplug it for a few hours it will then work for 2 days then flashes the freezed temp ..and is no longer cold

Question

Technical support Question-Refrigerator RS2555SL Freezer Inoperative

Front Panel Buttons, Power Freeze, Freezer Temp, Ice Type, Power Cool, Child Lock, do not activate any response or sound when pushed. Only Fridge Temp activates and beeps. No beeps heard when freezer door is open or left open.Compressor runs, all fans run in refrigerator and freezer. Left wall of freezer was very hot two months ago, brown gooey liquid leaked out of bottom corner of freezer and refrigerator. Whole unit was emptied and defrosted at that time. Operated until two weeks ago.Please advise if front panel board, MPCB, or inside sensor is bad? Please advise if a wiring diagram and troubleshooting procedure is available to check button switch operation. Thank you

Question

RS2555S Freezer stops working

I have the RS2555SL refrigerator. The freezer stops working intermittently. It will heat up to about 60 degrees before it gets cold again. This usually takes about a day before it gets back to the normal temperature. The self diagnostics don't show any error codes. Is this a problem with the main pcb?

Question

Not keeping cold/frozen

Out of the blue our refrigerator/freezer is not working. DTE came the other day to install a new electric meter but they said what they did should not have effected the appliance. We unplugged it and replugged. My husband did something with the ice maker and then it worked again for 2 days. Now once again it is not working, any suggestions as to what it could be or how to fix it?

I'm sorry to hear your RS2555SL will not dispense ice. If there is ice in the bucket but it won't come out, check to make sure the dispenser has not been turned off by pressing the Ice Type button to toggle through the Cubed/Crushed/Ice Off options. Next, check the icebucket to make sure there are no cubes or other debris blocking the opening to the ice chute. If the dispenser isn't working at all, please check the wiring harnesses under the hinge covers; instructions can be found on pages 21-22 of the User Manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website.

If there is no ice in the bucket, please check the water supply and filter for clogs, and press the Test button on the icemaker. For additional support, please consult the troubleshooting guide through the product support page or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

Why is the refrigerator temp flashing 38?

I changed it to 40, it returns to flashing 38; no hot items were placed in the frig; I vacuumed under/behind it; this has been flashing for 2 hours now.

When you change the temperature setting on your refrigerator or freezer, the display is designed to show the new setting temporarily then revert within a few seconds to the actual temperature which then flashes until the actual temperature adjusts to the setting. Since you changed the setting to a higher temperature, if the doors remain closed it may take a while for the temperature to rise. This is normal, though it should get there eventually and stop flashing when it does.

If the ice is not automatically harvesting from the tray in your RS2555SL, try pressing the Test button on the side of the icemaker, which should cause the tray to rotate and dump the ice then return to the original position and fill with water. If the ice still won't dump from the tray, your refrigerator will require service. The Water Bottle in the refrigerator Model # RS2555SL keeps freezing.

How can I make my ice maker dump the ice to produce more ice?

My tray in full of ice and it semi turns to dump the ice but wont dump it and then fills with water again but since the tray is full it just spill into the ice bin

Try pressing the Test button on the side of the icemaker which should cause the tray to rotate and dump the ice then fill with water again. (Be sure to have a container waiting under it to catch the water than may spill.) If the ice does not come out of the tray, it will likely require service.
