I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. Surges or glitches on the power line can damage the refrigerator either at the time of the outage or when power is restored, causing a failure that is detected when the unit's power returns. Try unplugging the refrigerator for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. If the refrigerator does not power up normally, a service call is necessary. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

My door won't automatically swing shut like it used to. Feels like something had to have broke or fell apart on the bottom of the refrigerator door.

I found a small piece of black plastic on the floor - could have been part of whatever this "gasket" or washer was.

I would suggest checking the refrigerator alignment. If you were to adjust the leveling legs so the refrigerator leans back slightly, the doors would close more easily. The door swing can also be effected by the door's weight, so increasing/decreasing the amount of food stored on the door can change how easily the door opens/closes.

If the door is not sealing properly and cold air is escaping, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can help determine your service options.

If the refrigerator was just connected recently and had been at room temperature, then it may take up to 24 hours to reach the set temperature of 38°F. If the refrigerator had been working properly but has stopped cooling, it may require service. I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. The flashing freezer temperature is probably indicating that the temperature is above the set temperature. Please check the power source and confirm it is working properly by plugging in another appliance. Question

RS2555S Freezer stops working

I have the RS2555SL refrigerator. The freezer stops working intermittently. It will heat up to about 60 degrees before it gets cold again. This usually takes about a day before it gets back to the normal temperature. The self diagnostics don't show any error codes. Is this a problem with the main pcb?

Question

Technical support Question-Refrigerator RS2555SL Freezer Inoperative

Front Panel Buttons, Power Freeze, Freezer Temp, Ice Type, Power Cool, Child Lock, do not activate any response or sound when pushed. Only Fridge Temp activates and beeps. No beeps heard when freezer door is open or left open.Compressor runs, all fans run in refrigerator and freezer. Left wall of freezer was very hot two months ago, brown gooey liquid leaked out of bottom corner of freezer and refrigerator. Whole unit was emptied and defrosted at that time. Operated until two weeks ago. Please advise if front panel board, MPCB, or inside sensor is bad? Please advise if a wiring diagram and troubleshooting procedure is available to check button switch operation. Thank you

It's normal for the cooling system in your RS2555SL to cycle on and off intermittently in order to maintain the set temperature. However, if it is not maintaining the temperature, and the power supply is not being disrupted, it may require service. Thank you for the question. Samsung recommends using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from behind the RS2555 once or twice a year, and, if possible, it's a good idea to roll the refrigerator forward to remove any dust that may have accumulated underneath it, as well.
