I'm very sorry the ice maker isn't meeting your expectations. I don't know what you qualify as extremely slow ice production, but here's a guide on how to troubleshoot issues related to ice production: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=364336&modelname=RS2555BB&modelcode=&session_id=PJw9Jnk9qrFpJXJ8z63qW2Z5FYMSRb5sMhhBFB8CzQptHQYZdRSg%212007262035%21-1257981264%211338585277385

Question

our fridge has a huge problem, can you fix it under my extended warranty?

big ice build up behind the fridge side; the ice expansion caused the plastic to crack and split; it is severely broken. A real shame for such an expensive item to break down like this.

Question

"refrigerator temp" display flashes

Temp display flashed for two days. Then quit. It's been very warm outside, but the house A/C has been on. Owners manual says it will flash if warm food is in 'fridge - that is not the case here.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your RS2555SB. The display is designed to blink when the temperature inside the unit is different from the set temperature. This can be caused by changing the setting, leaving the door open for an extended period, or adding warm food to either compartment. If yours was blinking for none of these reasons, it may require service. Please check the power supply first to make sure it is working properly.

Question

Why is my freezer not making ice or dispensing?

I have a Samsung RS2555BB refrigerator. Over past week been having problems with the ice maker. No problems with the temperature though. The freezer tries to create the ice but never amounts to anything in the ice bucket. If I try to extract any ice from the exterior ice button (even if I put ice in there) it sounds like it is going to work then dies off (almost sounds like a motor out). Also where the exterior ice/water portion is I have had water come out from the bottom of the fixture which rolls down the front of the fridge onto the floor. This has happened twice but both times came when there was absolutely no ice in the bucket. The water dispenser does still work.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your RS2555BB icemaker. I would suggest checking the freezer temperature to make sure it's cold enough to make ice; Samsung recommends setting the freezer temperature to between -2°F and -4°F, but it can be set even colder. To help speed up ice production you can also use the Power Freeze option on the control panel, and minimize the amount of time the door is open. To ensure ice is producing as quickly as possible, make sure the supplied water pressure is 20~125 psi, and try resetting the icemaker by pressing the test button as shown on page 28 of the User Manual, which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website. Since a clogged or partially clogged water filter can effect ice production, consider changing the water filter. After changing the filter, you should dispense up to 6 gallons of water to bleed air from the lines.

Finally, make sure the icemaker is turned on by selecting an ice type on the control panel, so the "Ice Off" icon is not illuminated. If none of these suggestions help to resolve the issue, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.
