I'm sorry to hear your RS2545SH has stopped producing ice. Please make sure the icemaker is turned on by pressing the Ice Type button to select either cubed or crushed ice; it may be necessary to turn the Child Lock off in order to do this. Some models require the Test button be pressed for 8 seconds in order to reset the icemaker, so I would suggest pressing it for that period of time. This should cause it to rotate then fill with water; please refer to page 28 of the user manual for information regarding the correct water level. Following are some additional troubleshooting tips that may help:
- The recommended temperatures for the refrigerator and freezer compartments are 38°F and -2°F, respectively. If the freezer temperature is set higher than this, it could effect ice production. If the refrigerator is too cold, the water lines could freeze.
- Is something pressing against the lever that detects when the ice bin is full? The icemaker will not produce ice if it detects a full bin.
- Have you replaced your water filter recently? A clogged or partially clogged filter can slow water flow and effect ice production. After replacing the filter, be sure to dispense up to 6 gallons of water to bleed air from the lines.
- Is your home's water pressure sufficient? In order for the ice maker to operate properly, water pressure of 20~125 psi is required. Under normal conditions, a 6 oz glass can be filled in about 10 seconds. If the Refrigerator is installed in an area with low water pressure (below 20psi), you may be able to install a booster pump to compensate for the low pressure.
If none of these suggestions help to resolve the issue, your refrigerator may require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.
