It should not be necessary to pull the entire fridge from the wall to replace the filter, unless you find it difficult to remove the old filter or install the new one. If this is the case it may be helpful to shut the incoming water valve off to reduce the water pressure.

Question

my refrigerator side wont cool

last night noticed fridge side stopped cooling. i noticed that it was warm inside and i pushed the power cool buttin, then several minutes later it started flashing "37" on the refrigerator side of the display. i unplugged it and plugged it back in and the display then read the true refrigerator side temp which was 56 degrees, where it has stayed through the night and all of today. i have tried unplugging it and waiting 30 min though when i plugged it back in it just cooled to 56 degrees and stopped. the freexer side works fine. there was no diagnistics section of my owners manual. i have called smasung as it is under warranty --just bought it 3 days ago-- though they have to validate the warranty prior to contacting a service company to come to the house, and that may take several days to weeks. if there is an easy fix i would like ot try it. please help!!! i have already lost $200 worth of food

Question

My Samsung Ref. Model# RS2545SH has started building up ice behind the chill bin.

I have the exact same issue as the last question asked. The ice pushed out the plastic cover that is screwed to the back of the fridge and cracked it. This is probably the reason why I am hearing a popping noise as the plastic is being pushed out and cracked. Also it is pushing out the chill drawer so the fridge door isn't closing all the way. I don't have any water hooked up for ice. I turned off the refrigerator for 24 hours, but if there is ice behind the plastic cover, why didn't it melt. I vacuumed out the air vent in back already. The plastic cover is still protruding about 1 inch. Is there an inherent flaw with this model. If it is ice, where is the water coming from?

Question

My side by side refridgerator has stopped freezing and the temperature on the display panel for the freezer blinks when I try to reset it.

The power freeze does not make it work either. The model # is RS 2525SH. The fridge part seems to be working fine. Is there anything I can do before I call a service person? Do you have any service technicians in the N. Charleston/Summerville area of S. Carolina.

I have Samsung RS2545SH Ref and ice maker does not fill completely with water resulting in ice that is not properly formed. What part or adjustment controls the amount of water being fed to ice tray?It is obvious that NOT enough water is entering into the tray to make proper sized ice cube. Your input please?

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your RS2545SH. Please try pressing the Test button on the side of the icemaker to reset it. This should cause the tray to rotate and harvest its contents then fill with the appropriate amount of water. It may be necessary to hold the button in for about 8 seconds on some models. If this does not resolve the issue, your icemaker may require service. I need to know if his product is still under warranty...?

I do not have the actual purchase date, but owner says "a couple of years old". Can you tell by serial number? Fan in freezer not working and area in bottom, back of fridge side, over lower drawer has "exploded". Service man doesn't usually work on Samsung and didn't know why.

The back wheel broke. How can I replace it so the fridge sits level and the doors close again?

I had a party and put a big bag of ice in the freezer. Suddenly the whole fridge went off balance and the fridge door doesn't close properly anymore. The fridge is no longer level. It's a RS2545SH.

Question

the temperature of the refrigerator keeps going down and up. Why does it do that?

we have changed the fan, because that is what we thought it was going to be. The temperature lasted a few weeks at the temperature that we set it on. After awhile, the temperature got hotter. We would like to know if something is broken on the refrigerator?

I don't have the weight measurements available for the RS2545SH, but I can tell you that most of Samsung's full-size side by side refrigerators manufactured over the past 4-5 years have weighed approximately 300 pounds.

M/N: SR2545SH, S/N: 129043CL400314 N, After the red light indicated the water filter needed to be replaced we replaced it. However after doing so pushing the lever in will not activate the water.. Question

side by side refridge coils freezing, known problem? can this problem be fixed

Sears tech came out 2x - first time defrost coils and cleaned drain
2nd time could not remove ice;recommended replacing cover inside that covered coils, problem came back after purchased part was placed on and now leaking again 1 week later.
Just would like to know if this problem is repairable?
