I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. You and your wife could both be correct, since there are a variety of issues that could cause the dispenser to drip. Ice fragments remaining in the chute and melting, especially when crushed ice is selected, is a very common cause, and could be remedied by wiping the chute out after use. I would also suggest checking that the seal between the chute and the icebucket above it is fairly secure when the left door is closed. You can check this by closing the left door, and looking inside through the right side to see if there are any gaps in the seal. If so, you can try adjusting the door height using the fastener rings that came with your refrigerator (see page 16 of the User Manual, which can be downloaded as a pdf file for your convenience).
Another cause of the leak could be air in the water line. If you recently installed the refrigerator or replaced the water filter, be sure to flush several gallons of water through the line to ensure there is no air in the line. Also, be sure the filter is installed properly and turned all the way so it's locked in place. An improperly installed water filter can also lead to leaking.
