Thanks for the question. There are several factors that can effect the ability of the icemaker to produce ice, in particular the availability of water to fill the tray, and the temperature of the freezer once the tray is filled with water. First, make sure the Ice Off button on the control panel has not been pressed. Next, try pressing the Test button on the bottom of the icemaker, which should cause the tray to rotate then fill with water. For the water to freeze, the freezer temperature should be set to -2°F or colder. You can also press the Power Freeze button on the control panel to help speed the freezing process.
If the tray did not fill with water, check the water supply valve to make sure it is on all the way, and make sure the line is not bent or kinked. Samsung recommends setting the refrigerator temperature to 38°F; if set too cold the water line could freeze. It may be necessary to press the Test button more than once when the water filter is first installed or replaced in order to bleed air from the line.
If water does not fill the tray, try removing the filter then press the Test button again. If the tray fills without the filter installed, it is likely clogged and should be replaced. If the icemaker still won't fill with water or does not rotate to dump the ice when the Test button is pressed, it may require service.
